Good and quiet room with balcony in this modern hotel, nice staff, close to historic center which is still under reconstruction. Possible to visit St. Bernardino basilica.
Though close to center you have to walk up a long hill to reach it.
Good private parking at the hotel and there is a couple of pizzerias in the same street.

This hotel is in a good location on the edge of the historic centre but it is a ten minute uphill walk to get there and not a great walk back if it is dark along an unlit road. Free onsite parking is an asset. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the room was acceptable, clean, fairly modern with a reasonable sized bathroom. Breakfast was just about OK a wide range of cereals, pastries, yoghurt etc but poor selection of cold meats and cheeses with nothing distinguishable from supermarket packet food. Coffee was excellent. Main drawback was that after returning from dinner out the bar here was deserted as the restaurant was closed and so there was no atmosphere. We even had to ask for the lights to be turned on so that we could order a glass of wine. No incentive to hang around here. All in all it was acceptable for a one night stay to break a journey and the price was modest but nothing at all memorable about the place.

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting the surrounding hill towns. The location was good and the breakfasts were wonderful...great breakfast servers...very friendly. The room was clean, good shower, but overall a very small bathroom. The bed was ☹️...cheaply made...IKEA like frame...disappointing quality of sleep.

Below average service, room furniture/decoration, cleanliness, breakfast.

Parking was free and easy.

Extremely over priced.

It seems impossible to me that this is a four star hotel.

My stay in this hotel was just a couple of days long. Room was clean, well furnished with a rather big bathroom and a comfortable shower. The bed was big and soft, with nice sheets. Continental breakfast is served, with a good selection of juices, cold cuts, cheese, and cereals for any taste. I will probably stay here again, next time I'm in L'Aquila for business.

My husband and I spent two weekends in this hotel in November. We also spent a weekend there in November, 2014. We chose it because it is a few blocks from where our son and his family live and it is also just a short walk up the hill to the center of town. Our rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a small balcony from which we had a view of the mountains in one direction and the hillside of the city in another. The breakfast is good with a nice variety of food - bread, croissants, yogurt, cereal ,juice, fruit, sausage, cheese, etc. There is also a nifty machine to make soft boiled eggs. And, the coffee is very good. The hotel is close to the stadium so rugby and football teams stay there before games. Hotel staff handle the two breakfasts - one for guests and one for the players effortlessly. Staff of the hotel are friendly and extremely helpful, and really seem to want your stay to be a good one.

A group of us from various countries working on an international project stayed here last week. My colleague and I had asked to share a room with separate twin beds in order to help defray expenses. The room was adequate, but the beds were very narrow and short, to the point that we were afraid to roll over for fear of falling off. Shortly after our arrival, we found out that our colleagues who were not sharing had been given rooms with two double beds or a double bed and two twins for single occupancy! This did not make sense to us, so we asked if we could move to a more comfortable larger room, but were told that this would not be possible. Fortunately, we were only staying for three nights. The hair dryer in the bathroom exploded the first evening, and the WIFI connection, which was intermittent at best, stopped working altogether the second night. The staff were distant and not particularly helpful. Breakfast was OK, with cereal, croissants, rolls, prosciutto or salami, stale-looking cakes and fruit that didn't look particularly appetising. Our meal the first evening was very disappointing at 20 Euros (pasta, dry meat and wilted lettuce leaves in lieu of salad). For a hotel that caters to an international clientele, it is surprising that all the cable channels were only in Italian. I am sorry to say that everything was below average and overpriced, and I did not find one redeeming feature, except possibly the location, at the foot of quite a steep hill leading to the Spanish fort and what's left of the town centre after the terrible earthquake of 2009.

The hotel's rooms were in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and made sure all our needs were met during the stay. I suffer from celiac disease and the waiters and manager made sure I could be catered for during my stay. They went so far as to order, every day, a gluten free meal from another restaurant, guaranteed free from cross-contamination. It was not only safe for a celiacs but also delicious!! The waiters were also so kind as to buy gluten free bread/cakes/biscuits for my breakfasts and even prepared gluten free lunch packs for the day. This meant I could relax and enjoy my stay as much as possible. People in our group were also vegan, vegetarian and their needs were also catered for - despite being a big group!! It was a really pleasurable stay.
