We have just arrived home after visiting my Father in Law in Suffolk to celebrate Father's Day. There were nine in our party, including our seven year old Grandson and eight month old Granddaughter. We were allocated four large and comfortable rooms, with a private entrance in this wonderful hotel. The family who own and run this establishment are perfectly...

Booked last minute for Mrs and myself for some much needed R&R. The room and the bathroom were massive and the bed.... Super King size. Staff were brilliant - really friendly and made you feel very welcome. We only had breakfast but it was really nice. It was such a peaceful experience and we came away feeling very chilled. Probably...

We have just spent two days at this superb establishment. The Auberge is beautifully appointed and we feel a great deal of love and care has been applied in it's creation. The food was delicious, the service friendly and impeccable and the whole 'package' conveyed the generosity spirit of the proprietors and their staff. Well done.

Having decided last minute to visit Bury St Edmunds we only booked this accommodation on the day. It sounded exactly what we were looking for and it was. Great room, spacious, clean and lovely furniture and four poster bed. The restaurant was busy with mostly staying guests but one or two local groups too. The bar area was a little...

It did ours. Loads of us for a business dinner. Great service and outstanding food in a characterful restaurant with attentive hosts. They went the extra mile for us and our guests loved it. Thank you John, Dee and Jon. And yes; the local goat was prepared in three ways with a delicious sauce and the dish was a triumph....

My wife and I recently stayed at the Auberge for a Saturday night taking advantage of their dinner bed and breakfast rate. We stayed in a four poster room on the second floor of the newer building. The room was large, clean and well equipped with air-con, tv, free internet, tea & coffee and complimentary water and nuts which was...

I recently held a retirement celebration at The Auberge. There were 44 people at the Sunday afternoon do and Head Chef Mark put on an excellent buffet at extremely good value for money. We had the place to ourselves and there was a good number of staff around to make sure the food was readily available and fresh. The party...

We could not fault the accommodation and dining experience. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with top quality cotton bedding. Everything was excellent including the hospitality. We were visiting the Auberge as my husband's great great grandfather and his family were listed as living there on the 1851 census. I am sure it is considerably more upmarket than in...

Despite living only a few miles away I had not visited the Auberge before. Foolish. We tried it for dinner on my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. An enthusiastic and genuine welcome and very good food. My three children were made to feel special. Imaginative menu and an interesting wine list. We have already booked to return....

Stopped here in room 7 for valentines. Booked through booking.com for £70 including breakfast. On arrival we were met by a friendly chap whom showed us to our room in the new part of the building. Our room was the first through the entrance door, which I was concerned about due to noise of people coming and going, I needed...
