Stayed here for 7 Nights and I have to say we had a Wonderful time. The Hotel is only 2 Star but the Views over the Lake are Stunning. We had a top floor lake facing room with a small balcony which was lovely. The Swimming Pool is clean and set in lovely grounds it was nice and not too busy. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice for the healthy eaters. The lake is a 3 minute walk down the hill where there are 2 Very nice Restaurants. Lastly the staff are very helpful and especially the lady on Reception. Would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely hotel with great views over Lake Garda! The rooms are just as pictured, quite charming, on one side that is. The other side are just modern-ish inbuilt wardrobes, not that nice. Very friendly staff. Due to COVID it was very calm and you need to wait for a staff member to serve you from the buffet, which is fine. Great omelettes and we liked the freshly cut fruit. Lovely views from the breakfast room onto the lake as well. Hotel has a pool of decent size, which we didn’t try out though. It is in walking distance to pebble stone beaches, water is nice there. It’s a 30 min walk from Malcesine, so plan in a bit of time to get there.

Absolutely my favorite , beautifully situated in Val di Sogno, which is indeed a dream. Imagine sitting on the terrasse with an aperol spritz and watching sun go down over the lake. Or spend the afternoon at the pool situated amongst the olive trees. That is vacation

My husband and myself have just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel and already I am missing it.
Photographs dont really do it justice, the views are spectacular and the walk into Malcesine is breath taking, picture postcard stuff, infact sometimes when we looked at our pics they didn't look real.
The staff are wonderful, especially the receptionist who helped us so much with organising our transfer from the airport and then when we were leaving a transfer to Verona train station to catch a train to Venice.
The staff had integrity and honesty, it was old school, like you don't seem to get anymore.
Totally loved it and will return again some day. Cant recommend enough!

Villa Orizzonte is comfortable, friendly, peaceful and unassuming, and this is a really good thing. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by the manager, who was lovely and helpful throughout. Our room wasn't over-sized, but it was decorated nicely, and we had a super balcony with a glorious view of the lake. The shower was good and the bed (a super king) very comfy. Breakfast was phenomenal - one of the best I've ever had - and served in a large, airy room overlooking the lake. The road passes very close below the hotel, but it didn't bother us at all. It takes about half an hour to walk into Malcesine along a pleasant lakeside route, but this obviously won't suit everyone. We felt it was worth it for the view and ambience. All in all, this is a fantastic hotel.

We stayed here for three nights whilst touring the Lakes and were very, very pleased. We had booked a Lake View Balcony room and upon arrival we were shown three from which to cho+ose. Having chosen one, we unloaded the car and settled in. The hotel sits on a hillside above the road so you really do get a very good view of the lake. An amazing amount of wardrobe and draw space in the room. Good bathroom with good sized shower and nice balcony with two table and chairs. The hotel is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The parking is good, the gardens adorable and the swimming pool is fantastic. The family who run it are completely charming and the breakfasts were by far the very best we had during our whole tour of Italy. Great choice, good quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The hotel is within a five minute drive of all the restaurants and bars around Malcesine harbour so is very convenient. The one small downside is that the road which runs beneath the hotel is quite busy and can be a little noisy which may be a problem if, like us, you like to sleep with the doors open. If you don’t mind the doors being shut then there is no problem at all. One tip – if your budget does not run to a balcony room then take a room overlooking the garden. The hotel has a huge terrace with plenty of table and chairs for use and it gets the sun for most of the day. In addition, the hotel has a lovely lounge overlooking the lake with floor to ceiling windows if the weather is cooler. GREAT value for money and we cannot recommend it highly enough

We stayed here for 4 nights surrounding a wedding we attended in the area. It was great value for money in a very expensive area. The rooms were very clean and our view from the balcony was stunning. A little road noise at night but I appreciate I am a very light sleeper, it didn’t bother my fiancé. Good selection at breakfast and the pool was great with plenty of available sun beds around it. The staff were lovely and the manageress was very helpful and always available when we needed something. I was originally worried that being a 2 star property we might not like it but it was really good and we were much more satisfied than a lot of other guests who paid more elsewhere. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay on the edge of Malcesine but very walkable into the centre. Staff are great, the lady in charge during our stay couldn't do enough for us and was very accommodating. This included pre arranging a transfer from the airport for our arrival. We stayed in room 9, with lake view which was spectacular. Small balcony, satisfactory room, very clean and comfortable. Great choice of breakfast, nice swimming pool and just a general chilled vibe. After 100 metre walk on main road you can cross at first zebra crossing and drop down to lake and walk in to Malcesine in about 20 minutes. You walk past small supermarket and take a left just after to rejoin the lake. Excellent eateries nearby. Would stay here agsin if visiting area. Excellent value for money.

This hotel is all about the views which are spectacular. The rooms are simple and I made the mistake of not paying a bit extra for one with a view of the lake, really regretted that because when having breakfast, a decent spread, you see what you are missing and it's spectacular. Overall Villa Orizzonte is decent value, away from the tourist hotspots and worth checking out.

Balcony looks directly over the lake with a panoramic view - really beautiful and you have a table and chairs to relax on.
Bed is big and comfortable and clean and you have AC and strong Wifi in the room. The hotel can provide extra towels for the pool, which is clean and also has a nice view over the lake. Breakfast is served with a good selection of pastries, fruit, cheese and meat in the conservatory area - again with views of the full lake.
Whilst the hotel does not serve lunch/dinner, it has a bar for drinks (although sporadically staffed) and the Hotel across the road Hotel Rosa serves food until 8pm. The bus stop to the centre of Malcesine is only 5 mins walk away - you can get the 483 and it's only 2 stops - and the restaurants here are open much later.(Recommend buying a 3 or 7 day bus pass if you are here for a while as the bus drivers seem to charge what they want for each journey). There are also music events happening every day/night in August.
The castle and the cable car up Monte Baldo are a few mins walk in the centre. You can also get down to the water for a swim pretty much anywhere in Malcesine or near the hotel.
Downsides - We were bitten every night by mosquitoes so insect repellent is a must and keep the shutters by the balcony closed at night.
The hotel is up some very steep steps and is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop (Val D'Sogno) along a busy road which would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems. However, there is a car park so this would be fine if you were planning to drive!
The shower is narrow and the reception desk is not manned all the time - best to advise them of your arrival time.
The room would also benefit from a fridge to keep drinks cool!
