The Hotel Modena is great value for money . Only problem we had was it was noisy at night , this was due to the age and type of property the hotel is. The room we had was over the kitchen and the staff seemed to be in there banging about until 1pm in the morning then starting again at... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for a family wedding. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Malcesine. Gino is a wonderful host who genuinely cares for his guests and has a wonderful dry sense of humour. The rooms are quite basic but more than adequate and the hospitality more than makes up for it.... The hotel is in a fantastic location just moments from the harbour and located on a lovely street in the heart of things. It's a basic hotel, so don't expect luxury, but it was clean, comfortable and great value. The staff are friendly and welcoming and Gino is a good host. He has a dry sense of humour that some... Just reliving the wonderful time we had in malcesine and the great hospitality by Gino and his staff; We were there in August 2010 for my sons wedding. Nothing was too much trouble, even providing room service for my mum and a trip in Gino's tup tup when she needed a hospital visit. I would love to return one day... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in July 2011 for a family wedding in the castle. We all (party of 4) found it to be an excellent choice and all of us would return. Location - fabulous - in one of the loveliest towns on the lake. Rooms were very clean and were more than adequate - just lacked air conditioning... More

I am late in writing this ... apologies. My husband and I travelled to Malcesine by motorbike to attend a friend's wedding in August. We booked into the Modena as a 'cheap and cheerful' option as we were only staying three days. We expected an average hotel, given some of the reviews on here. What we got was a wonderful,... More

This was our second visit to Gino's hotel and again we were not disappointed. The bedroom was spacious and cool with everything we needed and was cleaned daily. There was a good variety of meats, cheeses, salad, bread and fruit at the buffet breakfast and a choice of tea, coffee, water, juice and chocolate etc. The set evening meals offered... More

My wife, myself, sister and sister in law came to Malcesine for our youngest son Andrew and his Fiance Kimberley's wedding, and stayed at the Hotel Modena. The hotels position is so close to all the attractions of Malcesine, its great. The Lake is only 50 yrds, if that to Lake Garda and some wonderful views. The centre of Malcesine... More

I loved Hotel Modena. I was travelling alone for a wedding and stayed in a single room (breakfast included) which was less than 150 Euro for four nights, (which I thought was brilliant for Lake Garda). The hotel is right in the middle of it all. It's near the Port, the Lake...it's a ten minute walk from the "lake beach",... More
