The reception staff when I first went in was extremely rude. Before giving the key demanded I pay her the the 4 euro something. I said I would like to pay by card and said it's cash only.
The hotel design was nice. The room...More
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Mestre station underpass with platform access. Very friendly welcoming helpful staff. Foyer serves as the bar. Our family suite (2+2) on the first floor was very clean, modern, and quiet, except for the unfortunate gurgling noises...More
The hotel is not in Venice. Its a 12 minutes traintrip away. The trains/busses leaves very often. 5 minutes walk to the trainstation. I give this bad review because the staff is not friendly, 1 euro for a map.. one euro to keep your luggage....More

We took Bus 6 from right in front of the Hotel Mondial. You buy your bus ticket at the newsstand (Il Gazettini) down the street and it only costs 1.30 Euro. The buses were packed and we kind of had to muscle our way on with the luggage, but it was a quick ride, probably about 15 minutes. From there you board the people mover train (you have to buy a ticket and pay) that gets you a little closer to the cruise ship port, and from then on you walk, depending on where your cruise ship is docked. There will be people from your cruise line directing you at that point. Have a great trip!

We didn't travel from the hotel into Venice itself - but it is close to Mestre station, trains to Venice Santa Lucia take 10 mins, check the Trenitalia website for this. Once there, you need a vaporetto to get to San Marco, €7 single or €20 day rover, with night services too. Check ACTV website for those.
