Hotel Plaza Venice captivates guests with its Italian charm and inviting ambiance, although a few suggest it's time for an update. Nestled conveniently near transportation links, it offers easy journeys to both Venice and the airport, despite some missing in-room amenities like tea and coffee facilities. The hotel's cleanliness and proximity to the Venice Mestre Train Station and shopping options receive high marks from visitors. While the rooms are generally spacious and tidy, noise and booking issues have been flagged. Service at the hotel is commended for its warmth, aiding in the establishment's reputation for providing good value.

For the price, we really couldn't fault this hotel. The location is very ideal as it is a 15 minute bus journey into central Venice and the same to the airport. The hotel staff were very welcoming and offered us plenty of advice during our stay. Breakfast was pretty standard but for the price again we couldn't really complain, there was something for everyone and there was a restaurant attached to the hotel, we didn't eat in there so can't comment on the food but we did go in every night for a drink which was affordable and the staff seemed very attentive. The rooms are quite basic but were thoroughly cleaned every day and in our case, were only used for sleeping and showering so really wasn't a problem. The only thing we would say is there is only one power socket in the room so would be an idea to take a double plug so able to charge a couple of devices at once. As students who are keen to travel as much as possible, affordable yet good quality hotels like these make it so much easier and if we were to return to Venice we would definitely consider staying here again!

Thank you very much for your comment, we appreciate it! You do find us on the same page when it comes to the plugging options in our rooms: our in-room “socket set up” does not always cater for nowadays needs of multi electronic devices charges. This has been greatly noted and we do take it into consideration for any future plans of room restyling that might arise; Paola (Sales&Marketing Team)

We stayed here for five days for our visit to Venice. It is serviced by hotel shuttle buses for around €10 (Treviso airport) and has the main transport hub directly in front of it. This is just brilliant for getting in and back to Venice itself. We got a city pass which covers all the actv buses (inc water buses in Venice) - a must for getting around.
So, as well as a very convenient location we found the hotel itself to be top notch. It has helpful and friendly staff, a restaurant and café attached to the side as well as it’s own breakfast restaurant on the first floor (although we chose not to take breakfast there just because we preferred to get onto Venice very early and eating there instead). Our room was a very typical hotel room with tv, hairdryer, plenty of wardrobe space, a free safe and good heating a/c controls. We would have liked a kettle with coffee/tea, but understand that’s more of a UK thing and, as I said we preferred to be up and out early doors anyway. The bathroom had a toilet, bidet, bath with nice power shower, hairdryer, shaver points and a heated ladder radiator. Everything was very very clean with maid service every day.
So, apart from a not so picturesque view and the back of the hotel (had much worse!) I can’t really fault this hotel and highly recommend a stay there as part of a trip to Venice.

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Plaza Venice for three nights at the start of July 2022.
The hotel is in a great location for travelling to the Venice canals with the train station directly opposite and the train ride only 1 euro 50 cent each and a 5-10 minute journey.
The hotel has great soundproofing windows so you can’t even hear a peep of the hustle and bustle on the street below.
Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was excellent. We slept well every night.
The only negative I would mention is that our bathroom was very dated with signs of black mould in places.
The breakfast was good with decent variety, set in a modern and relaxing restaurant with fresh fruit, decent coffee and the hot cooked breakfast on offer was very tasty.
Staff were all polite, welcoming and warm.
Would highly recommend. I will be staying here again when I return to beautiful Venezia!

Booked 2 nights here with my daughter last minute as a wowcher holiday deal provided us a horrid hotel😡
We stayed in a superior room with whirlpool bath .
On arrival and checking the room thought the room ok . Had to phone reception to provide us with a clean kettle as the one provided had a blue residue inside. I also went to reception to ask if it was possible for some milk .. to have a cup of tea and they said not possible but you could ask next door.
During the night the safe opened by itself and I had to contact reception to fix it . Was sorted within 40mins so not to bad . Didn’t give me much faith in the safe after that !
Then late in the evening my daughter ran the bath and was looking forward to using the whirl pool bath. The buttons on the bath didn’t work so I phoned reception and was told that they didn’t know anything about a whirlpool bath. I arranged with him to send someone to the room to have a look in about 30mins after my daughter finished her bath . We waited and waited and no one came! On check out i made it quite clear that I felt I’d payed extra for this superior room which wasnt at all superior. I explained about the non show of their member of staff... we waited till 1:00am because thought if we went to bed someone would knock on the door.
The room was ok but bathroom had stains on the ceiling and on closer look appeared the whole room could do with a coat of paint.
Have to say that the man that dealt with the kettle and safe problem was extremely nice and very friendly 😃
Felt they should have compensated me on the price of the room and I made it clear I felt that way . So left this morning feeling annoyed!

I booked this through Agoda.com as part of a holiday including a Venice cruise with my granddaughter. I booked non-refundable as we were determined to go. But Covid19 caused the cruise to be cancelled. Of the 3 hotels I had booked this is the only hotel/agent that refused to refund.
To be fair to the hotel they seemed prepared to talk but insisted I went through Agoda.com. I could not find an email address to explain the situation and when I tried using the app the room has been cancelled without refund.
I fully accept that legally they are in the right but Agoda.com are showing no compassion or even a mechanism to discuss in writing. I will never use Agoda.com again.

We have just come back from a two night stay , firstly the location is excellent, bus from airport (come out of airport turn left buy ticket €10 from person by bus stop and then about a 20 mins journey , hotel just across the road from bus station, train station opposite hotel, also right next door to a little cafe/bar that sells bus tickets to Venice €1.50 each way which leaves from bus stop opposite the hotel (bus No 2) On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception, the room itself was spacious and very very clean ! Only thing I would have liked is a plug socket by the bed and a kettle (tea & coffee) the bathroom again was very very clean with lovely big bath towels toiletries We were b&b and the breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of food from pancakes to bacon and scrambled eggs along with cheeses, meats ,fruit, cereal and pastries again everywhere very clean and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend great base location and would definitely stay again. Thank you for our stay we felt very welcome and safe.

We stayed here for my wifes 40th birthday from 24th till 27th January 2024

From moment of arrival staff were very helpful and this continued throughout our time here.

Hotel is very clean and modern....we had a superior room which was nice and spacious....big bathroom, usual mods asides from a kettle. Rooms include a minibar stocked with soft drinks and alcoholic drinks which are reasonably priced.

The location of this hotel is ideal, we found a shopping mall 2 miles away with a number of stores (primark, jack and jones, foot locker, JD sports and pandora among others) which is only 2 miles away bus tickets are available 1.50 euros for a 75 min single trip.

Mestre train station is smack bang opposite the hotel and for a single fare of 1.45 euros st lucia station (heart of venice grand canal etc) is a 2 stop 10 min train journey and you have simply got to do this as its well worth it.

The hotel does a continental breakfast for 9 euros a day.....the food is good quality and plenty of choice. There is a restaurant called soul food kitchen next door food is good there but plenty of eateries to choose from

All in all a pleasurable stay and whenever we next come to venice we will be back

We were given this hotel as part of a wowcher deal. We couldn't have asked for more. The room was beautiful, the staff efficient and polite, the breakfast plentiful. Location was also spot on, areas 10 min train ride into Venice with the station directly across from the hotel and trains every 5-10 mins. Would absolutely stay here again.

Just spent 4 nights here. Had a Classic Superior room at the back of the hotel. spacious and comfortable, plenty of storage. Couple of negatives which we did know about but would make staying a better experience: no plug sockets near the bed; no kettle etc. No towelling hand towels just ‘cloths’ to dry our hands, there were proper bath towels which we used all the time as the ‘cloths’ did not absorb water very well.

We did have noise problems on 3 out of the 4 nights we were there. Loud music blaring from outside until 2am, this happened on nights 1 and 3, we could have requested a fresh room for our final night but decided not to bother. We do not blame the hotel, outside noise is out of their control but if you get a room at the back be warned there are very noisy neighbours and your sleep may be disturbed.

The biggest negative was breakfast. Cereal, tinned fruit, pancakes and cake. Cooked meats, cheese & bread rolls. No sliced bread or toaster to make toast. Sausage, bacon, beans, ‘scrambled’ egg were cold, kept in supposedly heated containers which were not heated despite having tea-lights underneath which were unlit. Dried up beans and as for the ‘scrambled’ egg, never in a million years could this be classed as scrambled egg it was just a slab of yellow mess. There were a lot of Chinese people in the hotel who seemed to enjoy the cold breakfast maybe not realising it should be hot, but us Brits know that if an ‘English’ breakfast is on offer it should be piping hot.

Ate in the Soul restaurant on one night, the food was just as bad as the breakfast.

On the plus side, the hotel is opposite the train station and bus into Venice – which is always packed. My advice, get the train into Venice and use a travel pass just for the Vaporetti.

Terrible… from start to finish! Avoid even if this hotel is offered to you for free! The room that we had was the worst one I’ve ever stayed at. The bathroom was old and you couldn’t have a shower without flooding the floor. The bedroom floor looked like it had juice spilled all over it was that old and untidy and walking bear foot you had black feet at the end of the day. The bed was made from two single beds one of which was on wheels and was sliding all over the room. The WiFi in the room might as-well have been non existent it was that bad. The room didn’t come with a kettle or anything at all and the shower soaps were big enough to last half a shower. To top it all off, the room had 2 (TWO) plug sockets in the entire room. One across the bedroom where tv was opposite the bed and one in the bathroom!! Not a single plug socket anywhere near the bed!!! If you want a hotel where your going in corridor rides on your bed and one where you’re stuck without a charger anywhere near by then this is the room for you!! Wouldn’t come back again even if they paid me to do so. And to end it all, Venice was dreadful too so holiday to forget that’s for sure!
