Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in September, weekdays.
About 45 min away by airport bus and city bus from San Marco Airport. Venice itself is like 20 - 25 min away by city bus which runs about every 10 min. A bit...More
This is a terrible hotel. Full of mould in the bathroom and fridge. The bathroom is absolutely tiny. It is far away from anything of interest meaning you are reliant on taxis to get anywhere. No iron to speak of, safe doesn't work. I couldn't...More
We arrived in Venice and this hotel was located away from the canals.
The hotel had air conditioning which was a plus. We had requested a bath tub in the room well in advance and still we were put in a room without one.
We arrived on a night train from Rome in Mestre at 5:30am. While we were unable to check in immediately, they were able to get a room prepared for us by 8am, which is hours before normal check in. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast...More

Hi, whatever you do in Venice you'll have a great time...my tips: if you're flying in...get a water taxi to your hotel if you're staying in the lagoon. It's eye-wateringly expensive but amazing. if you're staying at the sirio hotel in mestre, then the bus is very cheap and very frequent. I'd avoid any restaurants on the grand canal, just a few streets away you'll get better good and service at a fraction of the cost. The water bus is a great way to get around. murano is very close and worth a trip. As well as the main attractions...we found exquisite little churches hidden away which were every bit as spectacular! Hope you have a great time ☺
