We stayed the Ambasciatori for two nights during our trip to Italy. We thought it would be the best way to visit Venice, and it was. The location was fantastic, 10 minutes from the train station and 20 minute bus ride to central venice with the bus stop right outside the hotel. That's about it with the location, don't expect...

Arrived at 2:30am in the morning following a delayed, flight. Moved to another hotel which was said to be equivalent (not true). The reason given was that there was a "problem". We found that other guests had also been moved. Excuses included flooding, airconditioning, and electrical. interstingly hotel booking sites were still showing accomodation avaiable. Draw your own conclusions but...

4 Star Hotel? No way on earth can this be, and that is this hotels problem - it has a `worn` feel to it, not so much the general downstairs reception and bar area, but away from those areas, a refurb is desperately required. We had a front facing 4th room floor which was spacious but oh, so dated, and...

Lovely hotel, very clean, bus stop right outside and only takes 10 minutes to get into Venice. One lovely member of hotel staff was very accommodating in helping to get bus tickets and explain everything to us. However, others didn't really smile and weren't particularly useful. Wifi works on and off (you don't have to post things to your wall...

I had never been to Venice before and when our cruise ended in Venice I asked our travel agent to book us somewhere nice for a couple of days. The taxi left the ship and started driving across a causway AWAY from Venice, and I thought Oh No please don`t mess up my holiday. We continued out of town for...

Venezia is a very expensive city, so staying in mainland was an option to lower the budget. Still, Venezia Mestre is also expensive. The hotel Ambasciatori is a good choice. It is relatively close to the Mestre train station (about 1km), perfectly reached on foot (easier than i expected) and it has bus stops right in front (20-30 metres to...

This hotel is located in Mestre, close to the bus 4L for Venice. You have just cross the street. There is also a supermarket at 1 min, on the same part of the street. These are the advantages together with the price compared with 4* in Venice. Breakfast is basic to poor. No vegetable, no whole grain bread, only white...

I absolutely loved this hotel, truly a 5 star experience. I must admit when you turn up with a backpack and in jeans you do get a little bit of an odd look at reception, but nothing to phase any experienced traveller. Once checked in, staff where friendly/ helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was...
