We stayed at Parma e Oriente for 3 nights on the way to boat trip around Mediterranean sea. Montecatini Terme is a beautiful town near Pisa and Florence so it was ideal place for us to explore all around. My family and I (2 adults and 2 children - 7 and 1,5 years old) arrived to the hotel around 10:30...

Public areas are attractively presented. Good pool, not huge but clean and in nice garden area. Bathrobes for pool provided and towels if independently booked. Superior room with balcony very comfortable, large firm bed, good shower, but plumbing noise from other rooms a problem at night. Breakfast is the usual buffet, plenty of choice, awful coffee and juice. Restaurant staff...

We had a superior room with balcony and the furniture and decor had an old fashioned charm.Only down side was incredibly noisy plumbing in adjacent rooms and inconsiderate guests using bathrooms at all sorts of crazy unsocial hours.Who are these people?Do they never sleep? The location is just right for the town with little or no traffic going past so...

It only has paid parking ( 10 euros/ day ). When we arrived ( about 9 pm ) the front desk employee wanted to keep our ID's until the next day. He almost spoke with us only in Italian; I understand but I barely speak italian so it was a bit difficult to communicate with him and tell him that...

I am sad to leave here tomorrow after a wonderful stay in this period hotel. Lovely heated pool with plenty of loungers. Very friendly and helpful staff from the family and others. Beautiful A/C rooms with furniture painted by artists. Excellent restaurant. This is a real find and I will return with friends and family

A lovely hotel with a very welcome pool. There was nothing to dislike at all and I thought it was excellent value for money. The service could not be faulted and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff- even the night porter who made a wicked Aperol Spritz!!!

My wife and I stayed for 13 nights in this hotel. It's rated 3 star but easily lives up to most 4 stars we have visited. Lovely clean rooms-great breakfast. Hotel is only 10 mins walk from train station. Lovely pool and very good staff. We ate in the hotel restaurant and again the food was top class. All in all...

This hotel offers great value b&b accommodation. It is super clean and breakfast is good. The pool is a bonus and needed in high season. I would recommend and would return. We stayed in the villa just down the road from the main hotel, it was very quiet.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and the food in the restaurant was some of the best that we had enjoyed during our trip. Montecatini Terme is a great base from which to travel to some of the other attractions of Northern Tuscany. Pisa, Lucca and Florence are all easily accessible by both road and train. There is also the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on a semi-pedestrian street in the centre of Montecatini Terme, just 150 metres from the main thermal buildings and magnificent parks, and 400 metres from the funicular to Montecatini Alto, the Parma & Oriente Hotel was built in 1922. Elegant and harmonious, the hotel is enriched by the Liberty terrace that perfectly reflects the style of the building, which has itself been renovated many times, most recently in 2010, and is equipped with all modern comforts without ever betraying its spirit. Everything in this hotel emanates personality, style and balance: the hospitality culture condensed into a harmony of shapes and colors that let you experience a unique and different holiday, aa thermal health spa holiday in the green heart of Tuscany. ... more   less
