The Hotel may be old fashioned but that is what adds to the charm. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was very relaxing and loved sitting in the garden in the evening with a nice drink in hand. All of the staff at the hotel are lovely and go out of their way to make your stay as...

The staff are very good as is the linen. The ground floor rooms are pleasant but sadly this s not reflected in the sleeping accommodation. Some are fortunate and have very good rooms others are miserable and not worthy of a cheap B&B. Much refurbishment is needed and it is absolutely pot luck as to what you will get. It...

Lovely staff and food but hotel rooms desperately need refurbishment. Our room was definitely lacking, bathroom awful. Pool OK but pool area again needs refurbishment. Uneven paving, weeds, some loungers on dirt, no grass. Reception rooms fine and I repeat staff are superb.

We are just back from our Tuscany adventure. We spent our 1st 3 nights at the Astoria in Montecatini. We stayed on a B&B basis and really enjoyed our stay. Yes this hotel is old fashioned and could do with some updating but to be honest, this simply added to its charm. It felt like we were guests at their...

while travelling through Tuscany, stop in Montecatini Terme to try the spas. Hotel is a cute quiet hotel away from the main town, but only a 7 minute walk. The hotel is in need of updating both indoors and outdoors. Breakfast was ok. not too much selection. The funicular is a must to see the views up in Montecatini Alto....

The hotel is as such OK, but only so. Service is unpeckable, staff is very friendly and nice, but: The hotel is tired and has seen better days. We were assigned a room with air conditioning with thermostats from probably the 70's and had gone on retirement long ago, with the result that we had to turn the noisy A/C...

We spent a week at the Hotel Astoria on a B&B basis and enjoyed the old style grace and charm of the hotel. The hotel is well located with lot's of restaurants nearby and easy access to the funicular for Montecatini Alto. The staff can't do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay and the pool area was a great...

All staff was welcoming, excellent service!! We were shown to our room on our arrival as the reception was not busy. Our room was clean, had all amenities and a/c worked very well, but could use with some renovation. Breakfast was very good and the set up outside was a very nice idea. Excellent location...down the road is the Tettuccio...

This hotel is beautiful and well situated in the park area of Montecatini. It's a 15 minute walk to the main Piazza with numerous restaurants to choose from. Our favourite being Pasticceria Pellegrini It's also a 20 minute walk to the train station for trips to Pisa, Lucca and Florence, which I would highly recommend doing. Trains are cheap and...

We had a wonderful week at the Astoria. The staff were brilliant - so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Most of the staff have been there for years and they make it feel so homely. The furnishings may appear dated but they are in keeping with the style and pace of the hotel. Food was excellent. With temperatures...
