I recently stayed at Albergo Il Rondo this August and enjoyed it so much, I had to share my experience. This small hotel in a renovated Palazzo is situated just outside the city walls of Montepulciano (a five minute walk.) It has a lovely garden in which we relaxed after checking in with a glass of the local wine. The... More

Great small hotel and very friendly family who run it. Large rooms, good breakfasts and only 10 mins from the walls of Montepuchiano. Niccolo and his family made us feel very welcome and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was stress free and memorable.

We spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. We arrived around 4 am, cause our flight been delayed, but the owners kindly met us in the middle of the night. And every time i e-mailed or called to verify our arrival, i got a very warm response. Beautiful rooms, tasty breakfast, lovely sight from the terassa, what else could you... More

We booked 5 nights here based on TA reviews and weren't disappointed. Well run by a lovely family, the whole place is immaculately clean and superbly presented. From the time we were welcomed with a smile and complimentary drinks to the time we left it's hard to imagine how our stay could have been made better. As others have mentioned,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, in some very very hot weather, with another couple. We each had our own bedrooms and en- suite, but also a shared lounge area joining the 2 rooms, and all 3 rooms were nice and cool due to the air conditioning. The rooms were individually decorated and nicely appointed, bathrooms were clean and modern... More

Villa-like house, family run. Directly below the walls of the city proper. A short walk to the elevator that takes you up to the town gates for fine dining without having to drive. Plenty of parking. I recommend a stroll to the top of Montepulciano where you can catch an amazing sunset. We used this as our base camp to... More

This hotel (actually it is more a B&B) is a fantastic choice. It is just outside the city gates (10 minutes walking), but in a very quite location. Just outside the hotel the view on Montepulciano is fantastic. Rooms are relatively large with a very good airconditioning (which is noiseless). Breakfast belongs to the best we have ever got in... We stayed six nights in this wonderful hotel. I don' t think we could have picked a nicer place. We used Montepulciano as home base for our week in Tuscany. It ended up being our favorite city in the entire region. We were happy to return each evening to Il Rondo after a day of exploring. The hotel was charming... More

We stayed in this hotel for six nights in July 2012, and used it as a based to tour much of southern Tuscany. It is a delightful hotel, with beautiful grounds and lovely bedrooms too. The staff are incredibly helpful and couldn't have done more. Whilst we were there we had a small car accident and the staff were very... More

We only stayed one night in this hotel but we wished we had stayed longer! Come in spring or summer to really take in the beautiful of the grounds with incredible flowers and olive trees. The decor in the rooms is out of this world: everything from the lamps to the antique tables to the beautiful colors of the walls... More
