The terrace of Hotel Genziana is a lovely place to chill out in the afternoon for a tea or an aperitive. The waiter is a gentleman they offer the kind of service we have almost forgotten existed once. It doesn't matter if you order an espresso or a dinner for four you will receive the same professional impeccabile customer service....

This is about the fourth time we have stayed at this welcoming hotel over the space of many years. This time we have a family suite consisting of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as we are traveling with our 15 year old niece from Sydney. We have taken the half pension plan which includes breakfast and dinner. The hotel is...

My family and I visited Ortesei just over a week ago with no pre booked accommodation. We arrived and saw the inviting Hotel Genziana from across the street and decided that is where we wanted to stay as it looked lovely and inviting! We were not disappointed. The proprietor Giovanni was welcoming from the get go. He directed us to...

We have just returned from a fabulous skiing holiday in Ortisei. The hotel Genziana is truly wonderful in every respect, the staff, the food, the cleanliness and the atmosphere. Its such a shame that we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths on the very last night!. Our party consisted of three couples for the first four days...

We spent a week here on our skiing holiday and it was perfect, the location, the facilities and the breakfasts! Oh and the hot chocolates are the best! Our one holiday mistake was booking half board, in that it means the adventures of Apres Ski and strolling the village and sampling different restaurants for dinner is lost as we needed...

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous week in the beautiful Dolomites. We were on a ski package with Crystal and our hotel was the wonderful Genziana in Ortisei which is centrally located, close to the ski lifts and right beside the ski bus stop. We arrived late on Saturday evening to a friendly welcome and efficient...

This review is for the restaurant and not the hotel as I could not find a separate listing. We were actually on our way from the Adler Dolomiti, where we stayed, to VIVES restaurant for a late lunch at around 1.30 p.m. but discovered on arrival that the kitchen was already closed. We stumbled into Hotel Genziana on our way...

I stayed with my wife on a package deal through Crystal. I had initially been attracted to the hotel by its daily menu (6 courses with plenty of choice and the wine list which is extensive and amazingly good value.) When we arrived at the hotel the staff came rushing out to the coach to help us with our bags...

We booked through Crystal holidays and a week at the end of January is just the best thing to do when it's dark and cold What made it even better was we were lucky and had a week of sunshine. On top of that we very much liked the town and more importantly the Hotel Genziana. Our room was large...
