Starting from the premise that I have not stayed in the mountains since the age of 10... but I had similar expectations to those of hotels by the sea... we arrive on the 2nd of January in the afternoon, very convenient road, the hotel has a spacious car park and the villages nearby are really small but cute. The room was very clean and fragrant, basic furnishings, bathroom in need of renovation also because being a hotel built in 1981 there are architectural barriers and some spaces are not accessible to everyone. But all in all we adapt. Ps. The rooms with a mountain view are beautiful because it is a beautiful view. And we had it. We arrive for dinner. Very kind waiters and maitre, Mr. Francesco, Giuseppe very nice and kind. Average quality food, if you wanted an encore they would gladly bring it but the buffet starters were either absent or with little choice and if you arrived a little later you wouldn't find anything else. This displeased me. Good breakfast with wide choice. We expected something more from the entertainment. Alfred and Daniel accompanied us to Piani di Pezza for a nice walk in the valley. In conclusion I can say yes... it went well but next year we would try something else.

Excellent location for reaching the slopes (free shuttle available). Availability of TOP staff. There were 4 of us including three celiacs and there was no problem with the restaurant. Entertainment always available with Alfred and Daniel really good (the 4 and 5 year old girls were very happy). Super value for money. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Magnola from Sunday to Friday. More than pleasant experience.
The structure: on the ground floor reception, bar, restaurant, lounge with fireplace (electric) and piano for musical evenings. After 4 steps you reach the bedroom floors, the lift leaves from here, so be careful for those arriving with prams and strollers. On the first basement floor there is the card room, with gaming tables (which I also used in the morning to work on the PC), the billiard room, which can be accessed by reservation and the entertainment room where various activities for adults take place. and children and where there is a ping pong table, table football, air hockey, popcorn, cotton candy and other play devices. On the second basement floor there is the disco and the games room. The various rooms are open at pre-arranged (but comfortable) times and managed by the entertainment staff. Outside there is a comfortable and large car park as well as the playground and the very nice Fattoria del Magnola, with ducks, goats, roosters, hens and a beautiful aviary. Opposite is the riding school and the horses are always visible from the hotel windows.
The room: well furnished and comfortable, warm (even too much so) and comfortable. The bathroom deserves replacing the taps and some stands to place towels on: the only hooks were behind the door, on the radiator, far from the bathroom fixtures.
The cuisine: (full board) the meals were plentiful and well cooked, although some dishes were repeated. The appetizers, buffet style, were sometimes insufficient for all the diners. The breakfasts are always plentiful and delicious, both sweet and savory.
The staff: very kind and always friendly. Even for the packed lunches they were quite satisfying. Our Giuseppes (the maitre d' and the waiter) were extremely available to fulfill every request. When we needed a packed lunch for a couple of days, they immediately did their best.
The entertainment: what can I say... Claudia and Daniel were very nice and very good with the little ones and with us adults. Then lots and lots of patients. Alfred, the head entertainer... well, for me who love Karaoke, it was the best. In addition to organizing the evenings after dinner and the afternoon entertainment, they accompany you on morning excursions, for non-skiers, or on horseback rides.
In short, there is something for all tastes!!! The whole family was more than satisfied with the accommodation and the ski facilities: we will definitely return. Thank you all.

We booked a room for 4 people from Sunday to Monday. We arrived and the receptionist did not provide any information at all on anything (breakfast hours, services offered by hotel, nothing). Just gave us our keys, gave an impatient explanation of where our room was and that was it. Then we had to find our way in the dark using our phones to get to our room. The room we got was not what we saw in the picture when booking. The pictures showed the room had a couple's bed and 2 single beds. Instead, it had a couple's bed and a bunkbed. At this point we were still ok since we thought maybe the receptionist was just new and the room was clean and had a nice view. However, I did not sleep at all because every time my husband in the upper bed moved, my bed (lower bunk) shook and woke me up. In the morning, we woke up to a winter wonderland. We went down to the hotel restaurant to get breakfast and we were given the only table that did not have a view. This was a bit disappointing but still so far not so bad. If it had not been for the way we were treated when checking out we could have disregarded all this and the overall out-of-date rooms/furniture and may have given this hotel 3 or even 4 stars with just some small things to improve. We tried to ask to check out 30 minutes past checkout time (11 am) and the staff member was extremely rude. He did not even let us finish, he just looked at his watch, raised his brows in exasperation and snapped checkout is at 11 . TMy issue is not the fact that we were not allowed to checkout later but the way we were treated. Adding all this made us feel like they were doing us a favor to let us stay in this hotel. They get 2 stars because at least room was clean and had a nice view but would not recommend this to anyone.

Magnola Palace is peaceful and relaxing and has always treated our family with excellence. It is a wonderful change of pace compared to busy Rome. If you are looking for a relaxing, mountain-side stay this is a great choice. Just enough technology and comforts to keep you happy inside, but not too much so that you remember to go outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff tries very hard to please you and is always friendly and polite. It is a great country-side get away and is a great base camp for exploring the Abruzzo region.

We spent a few days in Ovindoli with the whole family. Despite the absence of snow it was a pleasant weekend thanks to the entertainment staff: Claudia, tireless animator for the children's entertainment, Daniele and the head animator Alfred were impeccable in organizing excursions outside (a splendid walk of 7 km) and horseback riding! What can we say about the quiz games and the various aperitif games. Fun guaranteed!!!
In the hotel, special thanks to the dining room staff who are always kind and willing to satisfy customers' needs.
Excellent and homemade food.
The location of the hotel is very convenient.
We will definitely be back in the spring.

This year our friends proposed a different New Year's Eve than usual and luckily we followed them!!
We managed to find everything we needed... a comfortable hotel just a few minutes from the centre, clean, excellent catering service with well-balanced dishes (we chose the all-inclusive option which also allowed us to have a wonderful and well-organised dinner included New Year's Eve!!)
The soul of the hotel is entertainment! He involved us in many things: excursions, evening games, baby dance ALWAYS with great positivity and professionalism!
I thank them for making us have so much fun and especially for my 2 year old!
Led by the magnificent super Alfred, capable of doing everything (singing, dancing, presenting) there were the very talented Daniele-Simone Claudia and Emanuele (who truly left us speechless with his imitations)!
Thanks again to the entertainment guys, the kind guys at the reception and all the staff at the Magnola Palace!!! We will be back soon!!

I went to the Magnola Palace Hotel to spend New Year's Eve with my family and it was a wonderful experience! The hotel is very welcoming and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The cuisine is excellent with typical dishes from Abruzzo and beyond. But the added value, in my opinion, is given by the entertainment staff led by the great Alfred who together with Daniele, Claudia, Emanuele and Simone made our stay special! From interesting excursions in the morning (including horseback riding) to fun games in the afternoon with bingo, piano bar, karaoke and other entertainment up to the truly beautiful and entertaining evening shows! The New Year's Eve dinner was really top notch! I will definitely be back!

We stayed at this property for a weekend and I must say that we had a great time. The hotel is very clean, the staff super friendly and helpful. It is located in an excellent spot for going for walks and right in front there is a very nice riding school for horseback riding. The food is good, the breakfast is very abundant with delicious desserts. We had a really enjoyable mini vacation.

super recommended to stay there during the winter. Very good cuisine with lots of choice at every meal. There is a good animation team that does its utmost to make your stay pleasant and with very helpful animators. The hotel, which is located 1 km from the ski facilities, provides a free shuttle to reach them and is equipped with a ski and snowboard storage room.
