The Villa faces the sea from the High Ground just as Lighea, the Siren, who overlooked the deep blue of the Mediterranean up to the horizon, to safeguard sailors.Villa Lighea is situated in one of the most beautiful and fashionable areas of Positano, the little village of the Amalfi coast famous for its uniqueness and beauty. As John Steinbeck once put it: “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you are gone.”The Vila is a characteristic Positano building where the influence of Byzantine architecture has been perfectly merged with the skillful hands of contemporary local masters. It features arches, vaults and niches that stand out on the pastel sky-blue majolica tiles. The view is simply breathtaking – with the entire bay of Positano opening to your eyes. All bedrooms and terraces overlook the Mediterranean, the famous Li Galli (Sirens’ island) is in front of you and Positano itself is on your right. The Villa has two floors, surrounded by beautiful terraces and gardens. The living room is spacious with a panoramic veranda terrace, overlooking the sea. It is furnished with cozy sofas, a large dinner table for the perfect lively dinners together. There is also a large flat screen satellite TV, as well as audio / DVD equipment and wireless Internet (wireless can be used anywhere in the residence, gardens and swimming pool area). The kitchen is adjacent to the living room is of professional quality and is equipped accordingly. You can enjoy cooking your own meals or hire a professional chef for an entire day or a special event. The villa itself has 5 bedrooms (either double or twin), and there is a sixth bedroom (apartment) right next to the villa in the same residence, which is available. All bedrooms have sea view, are furnished in Mediterranean style, have on suit bathrooms, and a small balcony. Each has air cons, safe keeping facilities, hair dryers, mosquito nets, WiFi connection. We decided not to put TVs in the bedrooms- the view is simply too beautiful to be “contested” by other images. Listen to the sound of the waves and your favorite music if you choose to use the iPod docks provided in all the bedrooms. In the outside area you will be able to enjoy the sun in the beautiful garden solarium, a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or relax in a Jacuzzi bath. The closest beach is Arienzo, which is only a few minutes walk down the stairs. There you will find a lovely family run restaurant to enjoy a freshly cooked traditional lunch, rent a sun bed or take a water taxi to the main Positano beach. The center of Positano is just one kilometer away from the villa and can be comfortably reached by public transport (bus stop opposite to the villa), taxi or by taking a pleasant picturesque stroll (about 20 minutes).On your arrival you will be greeted by Manuela, Katya and Roberto, who are there to help you to make you stay in Positano truly memorable. It will be our pleasure to suggest you (as well as help to arrange, book, etc) interesting excursions, best restaurants and all that our area can offer.

Villa Lighea is a beautiful place to stay with views that will take your breath away. The rooms are comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous. Even with a group there is room to spread out and privately enjoy your little piece of heaven whether it’s on a chaise near the pool or a wicker sofa near the gate. Manuela and Roberto were so nice, helpful and welcoming. Manuela was also helpful in arranging dinner reservations and transportation to excursions. We hired a chef for one night and the meal was amazing. Perfect spot for a family vacation. Can’t wait to go back.

A charmingly decorated Villa in one of the most charming villages of Italy, Positano in the “Divina Amalfi Coast”, I felt privileged to be staying there near the life of the centre and also in the privacy of the Villa. Great communication with Manuela and Roberto, the owners, and good amenities along with large, tastefully decorated, space make this a Villa for anyone who likes a bit of refinement, and the ability to go down to the Beach or to stay in the privacy of the flowery garden and of the exclusive swimming pool. The view is spectacular: from also your Bed, you can admire Rudol’f NureYev’s retreats, the “ Isle dei Galli”!!! Manuela and Roberto go out of their way to be helpful! I can’t imagine anyone not appreciating this paradise! I hope to come back soon.

This is the second time we've had the privilege of staying at the Villa Lighea. The layout and room sizes and views are fantastic, and the amenities are first class. Great location, and you should take the trip down to the beach just for the local restaurant. Manuela has excellent recommendations for anything you could possibly need. We have terrific memories and hope to make many more in the near future at this terrific property.

The house was exactly what I was hoping for; plenty of space, nice open air layout, easy access to a beach and beautiful garden/vegetation; It is based at the bottom of a beautiful hike 'pathway of the gods' for some exercise before enjoying the day;

Villa Lighea's individual rooms are delightful - comfortable, clean, with lovely balconies overlooking Positano. Enjoy your espresso in the morning watching the sky slowly spread its glow over the town and beautiful water. Walk down the steps to the beach cove nearby, complete with Restaurant + chairs/umbrella situation, and watch the brave little local souls jump off a small cliff into the ocean. Hike the Path of the Gods, easily accessed just across the road, eat atop the mountains in famous restaurants or bring a picnic to share with a loved one. After enjoying the views, walk back down and cool off in Villa Lighea's multi-tiered private pool. There are endless combinations of the good life to be lived in this town and especially in this villa, where comfort meets adventure and luxury in just the right amounts.

We recently rented Villa Lighea with a group of friends as our base for a nearby wedding. It is a large and well-appointed villa with beautiful gardens and views of the Amalfi coast from each room. Located slightly out of Positano town it was the perfect base from which to explore the area and relax between the wedding festivities. We loved: - That any questions/concerns we had were answered promptly via text message (thank you, Manuela) - The large rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, most with balconies (perfect for a group of friends) - The beautifully-maintained gardens and pool area with many little nooks for reading/dozing - The short 5 minute walk down to Arienzo beach - The location (15 minute walk into Positano town - far enough from the crowds) - The VIEWS from every room - The pastries and coffee every morning (thank you, Oxana) I would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay again.

We recently stayed at Villa Lighea with a group of friends and had the absolute best time. Every room in the house has incredible sea views and the house can comfortably fit 14-16 people. Located in the tranquil Arienzo, the villa is ideally located just outside of Positano. If you want to go to town it is an easy 10-15 minute walk and if you just want to relax without the tourists in town you can do that easily. I would highly recommend the property. Positano and the Amalfi Coast are wonderful on their own and this makes staying there even more special.

Villa Lighea is heaven. Positioned walking distance to center of town (Positano), the villa has everything you could want and more. We were greeted warmly by the owner, groundskeeper and housekeeper. They carried in our bags, had a glass of procecco waiting and we got a tour of the villa. Views from every room that are so breathtaking, six wonderful rooms each with a terrace and private bathroom. The grounds have so many ideal places to sit or lounge. The villa has a private pool but also access to a secluded beach. I am missing Positano and can't wait to return, I hope that I get to stay in Villa Lighea again very soon.

We were a group in town for a wedding and just loved everything about our stay at Villa Lighea. From the morning coffees to the impeccable rooms and the beautifully decorated details. The views were incredible and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Make sure you do the Walk of Gods which is right next door! Positano is magic!

Manuella, Roberto, and their staff did an excellent job. We had 10 people (including a 2 year old). Everyone had a bedroom view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Watch the video of the villa, then expect more, because the video does not capture the wonderful outside areas. There are 4 outside areas where you can congregate 10 to 12 people, or you can escape if you have had enough "together time." We hired a chef one night - that was fantastic. We cooked a few nights - again fantastic. We arranged to have food and booze delivered. We scheduled tow boat trips (Lucibello) - everything went off without a hitch. The video and pictures on line do not capture the views of Positano and the sea. This was our second trip to Positano (stayed in Covo dei Saracini last time with only 3 of us). We liked staying in Villa Lighea because we could walk (10 minutes) to Positano and to Arienzo Beach (5 minutes), but we could also stay away from the crowds by enjoying our villa. If you have a group of 8 to 12, I highly recommend Villa Lighea. As others have said, be in shape - 250 steps down to Arienzo Beach. Hike up to Trattoria La Tagliata for REAL farm to table experience. Phillip Downs
