This is a wonderful hotel on the edge of Positano (close enough to enjoy the action, but just far enough out to avoid the hordes of tourists and find tranquility). The hotel is more classic, refined luxury rather than modern / trendy. The views throughout the property are absolutely amazing, and the grounds are impeccably maintained (beautiful gardens). Our room...

Thank you for you review, gnc1984, and for the good advices which we will undoubtedly keep in mind. We left the bar only on the beach latform because lunch (and light lunch too) is available at Carlino, our informal "al fresco" restaurant by the sea. Also, we are completing the renovation of more rooms and they will be ready for...

The hotel is just outside Positano so you can admire the city from a distance (maybe 2km). Very stunning views and you can also see Capri in the horizon. Nice drinks, excellent food & breakfast and very friendly service!

Out of the 9 different hotels we stayed in this trip Il San Pietro was hands down the best 5 star hotel. The second our driver pulled into the lot the Staff was at the car to open doors, great us and take luggage to our room. Upon check in we were given a tour of the entire property. My...

What to say that hasn't already been said. Being a guest at Il San Pietro is a one-of-a kind experience and if it is in your budget don't even consider anywhere else. A few gushes in particular: + The grounds, in particular the walk down to the cliffside beach, is absolutely magical. Usually I like to be active on vacation...

When we planned our trip to Positano, we were torn between staying at Le Sirenuse or il San Pietro. We talked to many friends and decided to stay at San Pietro due to the private beach club and balcony in every room. It was the best decision we made! The property and view were spectacular, and we really enjoyed having...

Thank you for sharing your experience, CARokoNYC. Direct access to the beach is one of the most loved facilities at HSP. Guests can enjoy the sea after an all-day excursion and without affording hundreds of steps to get there. Only 1-minute lift ride from your room to your sun bed on the beach platform.

Thank you so much, Jfrondos. The hotel was built around the cliff and then only some rooms overlook Positano.
