#4 of 38 hotels in Positano
Travellers' Choice
The Punta Regina is a charming and romantic hotel with 18 rooms in the heart of Positano.Originally a private villa it has been carefully restored, combining original characteristic charm with the best of contemporary features. The building lies on Via Pasitea, the main street in town, and is easily accessible.Built on four levels, the Hotel has a breath-taking view of the Mediterranean waters, that has made Positano famous. While relaxing from your terrace, not only will you enjoy the sight of "Li Galli" island and the tower "Clavel", but also the many boats sailing in the blue colored waters.

Punta Regina is a perfect oasis for all types of vacationing. Benedetta, Francesca and the whole Punta Regina family make you feel like you are at a home away from home. ♥️ On my fourth visit they helped me host a number of guests for our wedding. It was absolutely spectacular: the pool, location, rooms, service, etc. I can never thank them enough for all of their help, flexibility and professionalism with reschedules during a difficult time for tourism. Safe to say Positano is now thriving and Punta Regina is the place to enjoy it!!! Xoxo already scheduled my trip for 2022!! Tess &Joe

Very happy we chose the Punta Regina to stay at during our visit to Positano! The location was ideal because you were close enough to great restaurants and to the beach, but far away enough so you didn’t hear the hustle and bustle of the town center. The staff is incredibly friendly, Francesca and Gianluigi helped make our stay so comfortable and easy. I highly recommend taking a boat trip with Gianluigi on Alleria, there’s nothing like dropping into the sea from a beautiful boat! The breakfast was great, the pool offered a nice respite after climbing the endless steps, and the turn down service was such a lovely touch. Plus, the rooms are actually quite big and are very comfortable. If you book a stay here you will not regret it. I can’t wait to come back!

Punta Regina is the hidden gem of Positano and out of 6 hotels/ cities we visited during the 2 week trip in Italy, Punta Regina was hands down my favorite. Let me explain further: 1. Their Service - Exceptional service that went above and beyond just “great service”. The things they did for my wife and I. The interactions we had every time, with anyone there - they always made you feel at home or welcome. Beats many of the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at in both the US and other countries around the world. You’ll receive world class service from them and nothing less. 2. Location - amazing location with an infinity pool overlooking Positano. You can walk down to the beach two different ways (stairs are steeper but faster) or through the main road down. When you want to escape the crowds, you make your way back up and enjoy, not only the serenity of less people, but the higher viewpoints of Positano. That said, it’s worth noting that my wife and I are in our early 30’s and we’re pretty fit - although, outside the gym I hate walking. My parents have stayed at Le Sirenuse and I know they wouldn’t have enjoyed the stairs route at Punta Regina for what it’s worth (60 yrs old+). But it’s typically younger adults who stay here and if that’s the case for you, it’s a piece of cake and once again, this is coming from someone who hates walking. 3. Price - their prices are super competitive. We stayed in Punta Caterina and were a little worried that it wouldn’t be as nice since it wasn’t connected to the main hotel/ pool/ breakfast area. That didn’t matter. It was so close on the same street it was negligible and we got to still book the suite at a solid price with our own private balcony overlooking an unobstructed and breathtaking Positano ocean view. Admittedly, we did use that balcony a lot for laundry as well since it was so big, but I digress! Ultimately, we LOVED our stay with the Punta Regina family. We got to write in their book they keep at the front desk too. Everyone there is so nice and I follow Punta Regina on Instagram where it always makes my day when I see them post. It takes me back to some of our fondest memories in Italy and we can’t wait to go back again one day!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had a perfect experience. The view, the pool and cafe on the roof, the Alleria boat tour (you MUST do this, and do the afternoon/evening tour with dinner in Nerano!!), the cleanly rooms, etc. The best part was we were treated as family by Gianluigi, Bernedetta and the rest of the incredible staff. Could not recommend any higher.

Our stay at the Punta Regina was excellent - the location was perfect. We were in walking distance to the town, but far enough removed from the throngs of people. Our room overlooked the water and had a jacuzzi which was an added bonus. A HUGE shout out to Francesca and Manuela who were so very helpful with recommendations and directions. They arranged a driver from the Naples airport when we arrived and pre-booked our ferry to Capri which was our next stop. The breakfasts on the patio are a MUST, the food is delicious and view is outstanding.
