The "Onda Verde" hotel, situated in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, offers an unforgettable stay for nature lovers in search of tranquillity. Like a perfectly set diamond, Onda Verde is in an enchanting location among the beautiful inlets of the coast; 7 km (4.2 miles) equidistant from the towns of Amalfi and Positano. The hotel is very near the cliffs and the beach. Onda Verde has a quaint and lovely restaurant (Restaurant Franchino) over looking the Mediterranean sea. The outdoor table settings are on the hotel's cliffs. The pool of the Hotel Onda Verde rises like a true oasis in the thousands terraces and coloured flower that characterize our little sea view paradise corner. Escape the summer heat and the crowd, and let yourself go to authentic moments of relax cuddled by water jets or a waterfall, surrounded only by tranquillity and the sky. We try to have lunch there, but the arrogant person in the front desk told us that the restaurant only opens at 13:00. We ask if we could wait in the lounge, and she said no, like that. I felt, for the first time, discriminated because the way she look at us. I travel a lot and I neved had felt like this before. And we wanted to know the hotel to go with friends and family, but thanks to this front desk lady, we will choose another hotel to stay. The person in the front desk should have some classes how to be polite. This was today, 20th Sep, at 12:05.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. I’m so glad that we picked Praiano vs Positano. Positano is very crowded, touristy and hotter and muggier. Stay in Praiano and take a water taxi to Positano to see it and take the ferry to Capri. The Hotel Onda Verde is located very close walking distance to the public beach where the water taxis pick up and drop off. There are also some restaurants down there. There are better restaurants than those in Praiano and many of them will come and pick you up from your hotel at no charge. The front desk staff was very helpful in calling the restaurants and asking them to come get us and booking us our water taxi and providing recommendations on how to see Capri. The breakfast is included and is great. They have a buffet where the servers make your plates for you. An assortment of pastries, meats and cheeses, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. the breakfast staff were kind and welcoming. The views from our deluxe terrace rooms were stunning and the air conditioning worked great. We liked that this property never felt crowded (even though they were fully booked). Grazie a Mille for a wonderful stay!

Dear Samchung, Thank you for your precious review, and for the many recommendations that we hope future guests will take some time to read. Praiano remains the perfect choice to be in the hearh of the Coast, but not in the middle of the crowd. We are glad you chose our hotel, and we hope we'll meet you in the future again and again! Warmest Regards, Francesco Milano & The Hotel Onda Verde Staff

Hotel Onda Verde is a beautiful hotel with great amenities and a superb staff. It is in a quieter town on the Amalfi Coast but close enough to the main locations to make it a good base where you can spend a few days quietly relaxing but also a few days visiting the tourist spots. Hotel Onda Verde provided a perfect spot to do that from. We looked at a lot of hotels but finally settled on Onda Verde and were extremely happy we did. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Location: HOV is on the edge of Praiano. This location was perfect for getting away from the tourist crowds in Positano and Amalfi. 2mins from the hotel is a little beach and pier for swimming if you want a change from the pool and there are 7 restaurants within easy walking distance (Il Pirata, 4 restaurants at the beach and the restaurant at La Perla hotel in addition to the hotel restaurant). The view from the hotel is amazing - overlooking the pier and down the coast. Rooms: Our room (a standard 2-person room with sea view balcony) was perfect. The balcony was small but enough to enjoy an evening drink. The room was not big but not tiny either, with decent closet space and the bathroom was a good size with a decent shower and single sink. Bed was very comfortable as well. Ammenities: The hotel restaurant (Restorante Franchino) had great food, great service and great views. Breakfasts had a good selection for western tastes - pastries, fruit, eggs & bacon and various omlettes/quiches. The pool looks a bit small from the pictures but is actually a good size and has 3 sets of air jets that can be activated by the buttons on the wall as well as a waterfall. I've never seen jets in a regular pool so that was a really nice surprise. It also ends up in the shade in the afternoon which makes it really great for very hot, humid days like we had. As mentioned, if you prefer to swim in the sea, the pier and beach are just 2 minutes from your room - close enough to just go down for a few minutes swim before coming back to your room. The hotel has a large (for the Amalfi Coast!) parking lot right on the main road that was easy to park in - since it's stack parking you have to give the front desk your keys after you park, but this is a big plus if you are driving to the area. No need to park on the street. Considering the area, we were extremely glad to have an easy parking spot when we arrived back after a day of driving. To get around there is a bus stop right at the parking lot of the hotel for the SITA and local Gioia bus line. Alternatively the hotel staff can set up a water taxi service to one of the other towns (recommend you book a return trip in advance so you don't have to find another to take you back later on). Service: Everyone at the hotel, front desk, cleaning crew, restaurant staff, were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Reception desk was able to help with any questions and made us feel comfortable and welcome from the start. They really made the stay a little more special.

This hotel has probably the best pitch in one of the most quaint towns on the Amalfi coast. The views from the dining area and the balconies is simply breathtaking and unspoiled. We had room 114 with the uninterrupted sea view and generous balcony. The hotel design is modern and inoffensive - it's rather simple and not super luxurious. It's clean, the staff are super friendly so you can't fault the service. There isn't much to Praiano itself - so we either stayed in the hotel, where the food is excellent and it has a lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds - mostly filled with couples reading their books. Or you can venture down to El Pirata for some slightly more expensive food & cocktails. They also have a small sunbed area on the rocks, which you have to pay for, or you can venture 5 mins away to the public beach (there is no private beach), where you can hire sunbeds, water taxis, kayaks and SUPs. The hotel was only really let down by 2 issues - 1) the sound insulation between the rooms is dreadful. Thankfully the next door room, 113, was empty for half the week, but the other half of it, we could literally hear our neighbours go to the loo, shower and their conversation at normal volumes. 2) the breakfast was disappointing but I guess fairly standard European. It consists of a mediocre selection of meats, cakes, cheeses, pastries, bacon and scrambled eggs with some melon, yoghurt and granola. Acceptable - but just disappointing considering the cost and the setting. Overall it was excellent and I would happily stay again and recommend, but suggest you bring some ear plugs.

Wonderful location near Praiano Beach and perfect for trips to Positano. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view. The service was great - friendly and helpful from all the staff the whole time we were there. The view from the pool has to be seen to be believed.
