WOW. What a lovely gem of a hotel, it's tucked away on the edge of Ragusa, but ideally positioned for touring and relaxing. The hotel is of a very high standard without being too formal, the staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly, it feels like you are part of the local community. The rooms are so clean and comfortable,...

My husband and I turned up on New Years Day 2017, very late without a reservation and a cat! We had been travelling for 3 days already, with 2 nights in the car.... but they found us a room, booked us in immediately and found a team member who spoke excellent English. We couldn't have been happier with the service,...

Our group had an enjoyable stay at the Villa Carlotta. The grounds are not much to speak about however, our room was clean and modern. I had a "loft" room that I did not enjoy. The bathroom was downstairs while the bedroom is upstairs which made getting dressed difficult. The breakfast each morning is quite good with several options available....

Hotel Villa Carlotta was a fantastic venue for visiting South East Sicily. Just to the west of Ragus city, the Hotel was very comfortable and staff were so very approachable. Giulio was so helpful and presented us with a wealth of information about everything we wanted to do and places we wanted to visit. He introduced us to "Uncovered Sicily'...

The hotel is in a quite location with 17 rooms and whilst it minimalistic they are clean and have basic amenities it is an ideal place to use as a base to travel around that part of the country. The restaurant is excellent and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. It has a nice pool with large decking.

We weren't expecting to stay at this hotel but actually it was a very nice few days. What made it such a great experience was the excellent staff. From Giulio on Reception to Veronica in the hotel's Michelin star La Fenice Restaurant they were outstanding. A lovely hotel if you are stopping off en route to Ragusa or indeed any...

We arrived at this hotel with two identical rooms booked each for 3 persons. Our room was markedly smaller than our friends' room. That would have been fine had we had space to walk on the lower floor when the sofa bed was opened. But with it open, there was no space at all to manoeuver. We discussed this with...

Booked non smoking rooms, so how did we get rooms with ashtrays? The rooms were upstairs and all of the smoke from the reception area, which was supposed to be a non smoking area drifted up into our corridor. Very unpleasant. My understanding is that non smoking means non smoking, clearly in Italy, this is not true.

Dear Jingalla, We thank you for expressing your view on this social community. We greatly value the guests’ contributions and appreciate them when they are intended to our improvement. As a matter of fact, in Italy by law smoking is not allowed in any hotel room, but smokers of all nationalities do smoke and in most cases in our hotel...

During our tour of Sicily we stayed two nights at this hotel. The receptionist was great and very helpful. Good job Julio!! Our room was of nice size but the AC was blowing on the bed and we had to turn it higher in order to not feel a very cold breeze blowing on us. The housekeeping needs a little...

If you're a foreign tourist you'd be mad to stay anywhere else. Yes, the Hotel is on the outskirts of Ragusa - that means that you can have spacious accommodation, a lovely swimming pool and huge grounds. OK, you'll need to drive into town (or get a taxi if you want a drink) but what a joy it was not...
