Punta Civita is a happy place. Even the clothes on the clothes line have the most gorgeous view. From the genuine, warm, helpful family who run the B&B to the pinch-yourself-views this is a slice of heaven. Far enough from the Amalfi crowds, but a ten minute car or bus ride from Amalfi or 20 minutes walking down the stairs...

We happened on B&B Punta Civita only because our first hotel choice wasn't available. What a happy accident! Roberto--and his niece Milly--warmly welcomed us into their bit of paradise and we wanted to stay forever. They are so charming, witty, and thoughtful it was as though we were re-connecting with dear, long-lost friends. Our room was lovely and homey--assuming home...

We spent 5 blissful days at B&B Punta Civita at the end of August, 2016. One is made to feel at home and yet completely provided for. Our room was immaculate, and so lovely with beautiful tile work, gorgeous antique furniture and a large, shaded private terrace overlooking the coast and sea. Our hosts, Roberto and Nada, were most thoughtful...

We stayed here for 4 nights in the honeymoon room. Delightful property, magnificient views and delightful hosts. It is sitated between Ravello and Atrani, with a bus stop located right outside to both towns. Atrani, Amalfi is walkable though down a lot if steps 300 plus, Ravello approx 50 mins walk 10 mins or so on a bus costs 1.20...

This is a superb base for exploring the Amalfi coast and Ravello. The location is down the road from Ravello main town, but there is a regular and cheap public bus that goes up, or alternatively you can walk, although it's quite a climb. Being down the road from Ravello gives you better access to the sea and the main...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The name "Punta Civita "draws it's origin from it's spectacular location on the Gulf which today hosts many tourists from all over the world but at one time served as a lookout to guard from the invasions of the Saraceni. " Civita " is indeed noted in historical documents from the year 876 when it made part of the "Castellum de Supramonte "first defense outpost on the sea of the city of Ravello Once the original building of a wine cellar dating back to the 19th century, rooms were added using ancient construction techniques in the early 1960s. Thus was born a typical Mediterranean home overlooking the gulf, amidst lemon groves, grape vines and typical flowers and vegetation of the Amalfi Coast. The floors and tiles are handmade ceramics from Vietri, family antique furniture and artifacts adorn each room, while careful attention has been paid to every detail, it is the passion and personal warmth of the owners that transformed this house into a B& B in 2003. One of our guests, Francesca N. put it best when she sent this memory to us after her stay: "Punta Civita is a small paradise! It is like brilliant emerald stone set in a cliff. The rooms are both beautiful and spacious and Roberto's genuine warm hospitality is like non other on the Amalfi Coast. The mild climate, the scenic, panoramic views from the terrace, the good food and friendly embrace of the owners all contribute to making this B&B a wonderful spot to visit now and then so as not to lose sight of the things that matter in this phrenetic life! " Punta Civita is the ideal place for a declaration of love, a honey moon, an anniversary, for inspiration or just simply to read a good book... ... more   less
