We spent 5days at gioiosa, and we really enjoyed! Nice place, with large bedroom, for us with 1 kid. Good and refined food, served by nice staff. Always healthy option, good ! Large and calm swimming pool in the garden. We do recommend and think to come back next year!
We were well received and treated during our three day stay. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. The food and drink were excellent. Other facilities met our requirements. The location is beautiful and there is plenty to do in Riva and around. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Nestled into the hills this is the perfect family hotel on Lake Garda. Away from the crowds surrounding the Lake this hotel offers friendly service, delicious food and great entertainment for the kids.
We've been going back for 2 years now and this hotel is just what we needed. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, the hotel very modern, clean and the rooms are very comfortable and just the right size. (we don't like big hotels). You really feel at home. The children loved the kids club, even though it was in German and they only speak French and English. Kidsclub staff and the other children made the effort to include them by speaking English and they have made great friends. The garden / play area next to the terasse and dining tables makes it possible for the parents to have a relaxing meal whil the children play happily as you can see them. The food is really really nice. Good selection, very fresh. The activities with the partner associations (biking and climbing,...) are great value and the reception staff is very helpful in organizing it for you. I could go on and on, this hotel has so many great features and services besides the fact that it is situated in a beautiful region. Lake Garda has so much to offer. you'll have a very relaxing yet active holiday! …
Our family (2 adults and 2 kids ages 7 and 10) stayed at this hotel for one night on our one week vacation around Lake Garda. The positive things: We needed a day, where we didn't have to do anything else but to stay at the hotel and use the hotel facilities, and this hotel was great for that purpose. The fact, that the hotel isn't in walking distance from Riva del Garda, did not bother us - we new that and chose to stay there anyway because of the hotel facilities. We relaxed at the pool, we all played ping pong, mini golf, table football and danced with wii equipment, the kids used the trampoline and used the play yard, while the adults used the spa and took a massage. The personnel was kind and helpful, and the hotel and room was clean. We had chosen to buy the 3/4 board and the "Afternoon snack" was very good ... while the breakfast was not superb but good. The "negative" things: Both the mini golf and the ping pong could be in much better shape. The main language of the hotel seems to be German (in written and in speech). The dinner was below middle good - the theme while we were there was pasta, which in itself could be both tasty and interesting, but it wasn't. You must buy whatever you drink separately - including water - except when you have breakfast - We expected that they would serve water under the meals. The massage (this was an incoming masseur - not a part of the hotel) could have been a lot, lot better, and the spa is ok but does not have much to offer. All in all a very good stay, that lived up to our expectations ... except for the minor minuses mentioned.…
