Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights, there were many pros and cons. Cons: - Very basic - no kettle, no iron, no luxuries, tiny TV a mile away from the bed - Terrible coffee at breakfast (‘American’) - Blunt / standoffish receptionists - Mandatory €8 per person for bathrobe, towel and flip flops before using pool or spa facilities - No decent views from balcony rooms (paid a lot extra for a balcony with a view and got a ground floor room with a view of a car park), no view of the lake from the hotel - No sort of sound proofing in room, kept awake late by other guests, woken up early by room service - Bit run down with many broken tiles around both pools - Certain tables in indoor restaurant are crawling with ants Pros: - Very friendly and helpful bar / restaurant staff - Cheap wine made from vineyard and very nice (€3 a glass but also €3 for a can of Coke) - Clean room with comfy bed (but only given 3 pillows for a double room and just a sheet / comforter instead of duvet) - Affordable - Air conditioning in bedroom - Great location with many restaurants / shops / gelato bars within walking distance - Lots of sunloungers / umbrellas around outdoor pool Overall, it was a good hotel, but not great.. wouldn’t stay there again.…
We stayed 4 nights in the Albergo Al Maso and fell totally in love with the place. Hotel is surrounded by mountains and wineyards so views are just spectacular. It’s located about 1,3km from the city centre of Riva del Garda and walking took us about 15 minutes when we went to town for a dinner. Hotel rooms are bit old fashioned but nice and clean and hotel staff is just amazing. Breakfast is very nice and I just loved the homemade youghurt and cakes which they served there. Hotel also has a small pool area which was peaceful and not crowded, it was perfect for a swim after long day. There is also an own parking area in the hotel so it’s a perfect location for roadtrips to nearby areas, i.e Lago di Tenno and Cascata Ampelo waterfall. One thing we also appreciated was that there is Lidl just around the corner so it’s easy to get some snacks and bottled water. Best moment of our day was to sit in our own terrace in the dark, listen the silence, sip some local wines and watch the bat family flying around. Just beautiful and peaceful, perfect distance from city’s hazzle. All in all, we loved it and are already looking forward to get back to Al Maso <3Lo…
We were looking very much forward staying at the hotel - producing their own wine. At first glance and the web picture presentation, we had high hopes... We booked though Hotels.com for a family of four (2+2) but the confirmation said 'tripple room' (whatever that was?). Upon arrival a tripple room showed to be a rather (very) small room, with a double bed + one extra bed... luckily our son (4yr) can easily sleep in our bed, without to much trouble, but I c o uldn't help being slightly disappointed. The room was moreover really dated and clearly went as a cashcow for the hotel (which had a newer section with refurbished and bigger rooms) Anyways, we went for the pool area, which was in great surroundings (litteraly just 5m from the wine) and it was quite (although placed in an industrial area - which meant; not much to see by foot) For lunch we had traditional Italian food but it wasn't great... later we found out why... we would have wanted just to stay at the hotel for dinner, having served their own wine and just enjoying being there, in the middle of the fields, but as it turned out, all starters and main dishes was 'frozen-to-serve' (prepped in the micro). We decided to eat in town (just 8 min. drive). Plusses: They have two pool areas (indoor/outdoor) but the indoor is intended to be a spa (that wouldn't be a fair description tough) and it only open at 1600h (which makes no sense, as they have no service for it...?) Breakfast was lovely though and the staff was very friendly! All in all I'll rate it average, but if you want to stay at a vineyard go somewhere else... it seems they have lost their focus and the concept is difficult to understand, but for all the vineyards I've visited, this wasn't worth a recommendation. Sorry.…
The other half and I recently stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! The staff were fantastic and the rooms were large and airy. It's located about a 15 minutes walk from Riva which was great to stretch our legs,, we really cannot wait to stay here again
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We stayed in the older section of the property and had a fabulous view of the vineyards and outdoor pool. The room was a little outdated but that was fine for us. We had a great massage and the spa area was very nice. The rental of the robe for the indoor pool was a little strange and maybe a deposit would be better but it was ok. The breakfast was good and one night we had a delicious dinner at the hotel. The WIFI worked well. The staff was very nice and helpful. I cant praise them enough. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who doesnt mind being a bit far from the lake which worked well for us and the activities we did in Arco.
