Very pleasant three star hotel within a few minutes walk of the lake and around 20 minutes walk to the centre. Free bikes available to use although they are pretty ropey and some only have one brake! Very friendly staff. We had the Swan deluxe, nice spacious room with some neat touches. Good buffet breakfast and bar. No restaurant which is fine so wasn't a problem. Good size pool. I suggestion I do have is for them to have information on the area to hand, ie maps, attractions to visit etc.
We stayed with our 2year old son and it was very pleasant. The room was big and we had an almost same sized terrace. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are free parking spaces in front of the hotel. The room was very clean and looked new.
Every time I’ve stayed at Hotel Gabry they never disappoint. When checking in, you are greeted by lovely staff that always make you feel welcome. The breakfast is delicious - it’s homemade and there’s something for everyone (with additional homemade vegan dishes). The pool is nice and there’s a shallow pool suitable for young children. The rooms are very modern and include good aircon, excellent WiFi and a good sized terrace/balcony. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Gabry, they are much more affordable than many other hotels at the North of the Lake. Glesni Morgan. Wales.
Amazing hotel. Eco friendly, a huge pool, only a two minute walk to the lake not far at all. Great for children, there is a smaller pool which is shallow and suitable for small children. And a normal sized pool. Fabulous WiFi. Staff are very helpful and very friendly and happy. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast is outstanding, homemade, the breakfast is vegan. Suitable for everyone. Big sized car park. The town is very pretty and old.
We only booked a few days in advance for the beginning of July and paid 228 euros for 2 nights with breakfast. Free parking in the hotel’s car park. OK, so the hotel didn’t have views of the lake, but our room had a balcony with a view up the mountain and it was only a few minutes’ walk to the lakeside. And it did have a large pool, which was refreshing without being cold, with plenty of sun loungers round it and shade under the olive trees if you wanted it - lovely. The welcome was warm and we were supplied with a useful information sheet. There were free snacks in the bar between 6 and 7pm, with drinks at reasonable hotel prices (3.5 euros for an Aperol spritz and 5.5 euros for a gin and tonic) and free sessions of tai chi in the morning and yoga in the late afternoon, amazing. Cycles were available for hire at 15 euros per day (sadly no longer free as mentioned in one or two of the reviews). The free wi-fi was pretty good, even round the pool, although very slow/lacking bandwidth at times. In contrast to the cool, modern reception/bar/restaurant, upstairs was more basic and homely. The lift was slow to glacial, with an annoying tendency to ignore your call button, or randomly cancel it. The room was fine, although not large, modern or luxurious. Large comfortable bed, but very sad, flat pillows (we later found better ones in the wardrobe). There was air con, but it would not go below 24 degrees. There was no safe, fridge or kettle. The bathroom was very clean with an OK shower and, a very rare feature in the eight hotels in northern Italy in which we stayed, a proper towel rail! The breakfast was very good - an extensive buffet, including a large vegan section. We ate on the pleasant terrace overlooking the pool. There were the usual juices, cereals, yogurts, fruit, cheese meats, bread (including decent wholemeal), croissants and lots of cakes and pastries, but also fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon and hard boiled eggs. The coffee and hot chocolate, although from a machine, were good.…
