We have spent 2 fantastic days here with our whole family. What can I say? Love at first sight! We have loved and enjoyed everything here, from the warm welcome, to the great and comfy room with a picturesque view over the Dolomites, the adorable SPA with a tiny swimming pool with warm water on a magnificent landscape, the kndness of the personel, the quality of the dinner till the outstanding breakfast! For sure one of the best breakfast ever and we have a quite experience in this. Well done guys, we already miss you and we can't wait to visit you again. We have enjoyed a lot and we are impressed by the passion you put in your work! Looking forward to coming there again. Born2travel Family

My son married a beautiful Roman lady he met while teaching at Virginia Tech.
When I visited we hiked in perfect weather, fresh air and ate the way Italians do.
Mucho Gusto!

Spent two weeks at this hotel with my 9 months old baby. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely location, nice room, incredibly helpful floor staff, amazing food. My baby can be a bit of a handful, but even when he broke plates, the owner just smiled and made a joke about him learning about gravity. Nice to see that most of the guests were returning time after time. Perfect for families, they have the children table for lunch and dinner, so the kids know each other and play together. Absolutely recommended

For the money we payed we expected a lot more. The food was not very good and for the rest all was an extra pay. The pool very small like The Sauna. To be honest I will never go there again in the future. The people working are after all very nice and available.

If you want to stay in a perfectly run hotel with jaw-dropping views, flower boxes on the balconies, and friendly proprietors, this is your place! This hotel is family-owned, and we interacted mostly with Gloria, who is fluent in English and took very good care of us. Everything about this hotel is charming. Our room was a little cold the first night and Gloria offered to let us sleep in another room to ensure our comfort (we declined because our duvets were so warm). The breakfast was a typical European buffet, with the added benefit of freshly cooked eggs and bacon. When Gloria learned we we're taking photos from our balcony, she let us in other unoccupied rooms on the third floor for even better photo opportunities. The rooms were spotless. WiFi was provided, but like the other hotels in the Dolomites, it worked best in the lobby. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Vienna.

My wife and I are huge fans of the Dolomite mountains of northern Italy. We have stayed in Cortina d' Ampezzp, Castelrotto (Rick Steeves pick) and Ortesei in the Val Gardena. This was our first time in San Martino and I can say from experience that its location at the foot of the most awe-inspiring peaks and crags is the best in the Dolomites we've seen so far. Hotel Vienna is situated perfectly in San Martino and is easy to find. The exterior is lovely and the common area lounge and dining area is also very attractive. Our bedroom was modest in size but had a spacious balcony to soak up the views from. The walls of our room were a bit sterile as not a picture hung on them. Bedding was fine. Shower was tiny. Very quiet. Not a hint of noise from the above and adjacent rooms. They also have a lift. We signed on for the half-board which includes breakfast and dinner. The food over our 6 night stay ranged from decent to very good. There was plenty of it. My only issues with the Vienna is it's lack of a friendly person at the front desk who can speak English. We arrived at 6:15 on a Friday evening and no one was covering the front desk. I had to search around to find some help which was quite frustrating after a very long travel day. The Marino family own the Vienna and their son and daughter Corrado and Gloria are very sweet and do speak English. The parents do not. Their front desk lady Giovanna was useless, unfriendly and nearly non-existent. When I asked for the wifi code she said it wasn't working. I told her I was self-employed and needed to stay in touch with clients while on holiday and that I booked the Vienna because it had wifi. This was a big problem for me, and I told her so. Her cold, unapologetic response was to tell me that it was a big problem for her as well. She didn't even suggest another option in town which offered free wifi. She offered no solutions! We were told that we were the Vienna's first American guests by Gloria. The place is #1 on TA, and had been awarded a excellent service award from this site. I didn't get great service, except from the lovely and welcoming Elizabetta, Corrado and Gloria. Their isn't an English button to click on their website. I would probably give them 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll go with 4 stars because of the afore mentioned individuals. All in all, San Martino delivered awesome mountain thrills and the Vienna's mostly Italian clientele were friendly and a lot of fun to be around!

Fantastic hotel, very stylish, camfortable and clean. The owners are very hospitable and take care of their guests. Rooms are spacious and many of them have excellent view to the mountains. The restaurant offers delicious meals and you can try typical menu.
The place is also perfect as is both calm and closed to the town centre. If you want to ski this is the best choice because a ski lift to Malga Ces-Malga Valcigolera-Punta Ces is less crowded than Tagnola and what's more important those slops are more varied - from very easy to more dificult.
I reccomend this hotel for everyone and only can be affraid if booking of a room is easy...
Any negatives ? - Maybe one - too small box safe , only for wallet or passport, not for laptop or photo camera.

Stayed for a week and from the beginning was offered warm friendly and genuine service from the owners and the very efficient staff! They just go out of their way to help. A great place to stay on a ski week in S Martino easy access to ski runs. Not to mention the glorious food. An abundance of flavours, specialities, traditional dishes and Maria's famous pastries. This hotel is quite new and you will feel right at home here in no time!
