Decent old-fashioned hotel, which means the bathrooms are small and dated but the linen is delightful. We made the mistake of booking half-board: the food we were served at night was very sad indeed, not fresh, poorly prepared and badly reheated. When I say sad, I mean sad: I actually cried. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was quite nice. The service overall lacked the warmth they advertise.

Stayed at Hotel Centrale for 4 days in January 2013, rooms were modest but the food and service was great. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, located close to ski bus stop, and 5 minute walk to colverde ski slopes. Would definitely recommend it and hope to visit again.

I tried the restaurant, I was in another hotel which had no place to dine. It was very positive, a welcoming and panoramic room, well-lined tables, friendly staff. Traditional dishes well cooked and presented. Prices normal.. recommended

Granted, the weather this year in the Dolomites has been lousy. Still, we booked three nights at Hotel Centrale in mid-September, planning to enjoy the many walking trails in the area. We thought early fall would be a perfect time. Wrong! Instead we found the town cold, wet, and nearly abandoned. Hotel Heat was not on. Despite requesting (and receiving) an extra blanket, we were cold. Town and the hotel eerily empty. Poor breakfast. We left after one night. Receptionist told us they would be closing for the season a few days later (as most of other hotels already had). Sad

We booked for June 2024 using a voucher, evidently not appreciated because it was not very profitable. Due to Force Majeure we had to move the Reservation to July. Through the voucher operator, we were asked for a surcharge of over Euro 200 because we would have to stay in an "elegance" room. When we arrived we were assigned a room anything but elegance (I attach photos, just compare with the photos of the elegant rooms on the hotel site). In the face of our complaints, first we were told, in practice, that they had done us a favor to give us that room, because with the voucher they took two lire. Then they tried to tell us that the room was still "elegance", in defiance of logic. Then the voucher operator finally admitted that the surcharge was due to the simple fact that the Reservation had been moved from June to July. Two notes: the first, if the voucher is not convenient for the hotelier, just do not accept it. It is not the fault of the customer if it is not profitable! The second: perhaps in their opinion customers should not notice that they are staying in a room of lower quality than the one booked. For the rest, the hotel is without infamy and praise, but the bad perception related to the treatment received remains.

After having to postpone our departure for a few days, unfortunately we had to cancel our stay for serious family reasons. The treatment received, despite the owner having repeatedly stated that she was "accommodating us", seemed to us rather like taking advantage of the situation, charging us two thirds of the stay (including half board, obviously not used). Not even the request to be able to have some benefit (even symbolic) for a future stay was accepted: it will be an opportunity to choose a structure that also knows what it means to take care of the customer.
Terrible experience

We returned to this restaurant 5 years after the last time we ate there; this time too the food was excellent! A special mention for the venison carpaccio, truly exceptional! Generous portions. Only the welcome could be improved, for 5 minutes there was no one to welcome us. Advised!
