This off the traditional path property is the most wonderful place we stayed in Italy. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, with an amazing view of the sea. Sunsets were spectacular-and our patio had a bathtub that allowed us to take in the view and soak in the relaxation. Travel by train to the San Vincenzo station was easy. Wish... More

My husband and I enjoyed a 4 night stay here and we loved every minute. It's a wonderful place - stunning location, great rooms (we had the room in the main house with a gorgeous terrace) and great outside space. The service, ambience and food were all top rate. If you want a genuine Tuscan experience then this is it... More

My husband and I had a very special relaxing weekend here and are already keen to go back. The setting was perfect after a hectic week in Florence, with stunning views and the peace of the countryside to relax us. Amazing food and service too. If you are thinking of heading to that area we couldn't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful estate in a magnificent spot up on the hills above San Vincenzo, looking west on the isle of Alba and the Tuscan seashore. Poggio Ai Santi is very quite and tranquil . . . you can meditate there in the beautiful garden listening to the voice of nature. Rooms are very specious and nicely decorated with a lot of... More

My wife and I are seasoned travellers to Toscana and have no hesitation in describing Poggio ai Santi as the very best hotel we have stayed within the entire region. The accommodation is sumptuous, the facilities faultless, the gardens and vistas breathtaking, and the food laden with home-grown delights. Francesca has made this place a holiday paradise and her staff... More

It is rare to find a place with these qualities, beautiful setting, delicious food and a family-based passion for providing guests with an idyllic experience. The views were stupendous, service was gracious and interested, and I had a feeling that every object in the house and rooms had been chosen as a labour of love. Fabulous!

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved the place. Wonderful setting amongst olive trees and nature, with stunning views out across the sea and countryside. We had a lovely room with big bath and balcony with amazing views. Food at the restaurant was so delicious and we loved relaxing by the pool in the afternoon sun. Staff all very... More

The hotel itself is so peaceful in the most perfect setting. Lovely hotel interior, beautiful bedroom suites and lush and scented gardens. We came here as a large group and we thought that without exception, all the staff were all wonderful. They could not do enough for us and they looked after us so well. Thank you so much to... More

Located on a hillside about 4 Km from the town and beaches of San Vincenzo, this is a very Italian, family enterprise. The best suites are in converted farm buildings that are a fairly steep walk from the main house and restaurant, so it doesn't feel at all overpopulated. The large site has donkeys, horses, chickens, cats and dogs, a... More

The hotel location is perfect and truly a place to relax and unwind by the pool looking out at the sea surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. The location and views are so outstanding that it makes you overlook other things that may have been a bigger concern in another hotel. The rooms could be described as rustic so if you... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The place is a magical one, nestled in hills of Mediterranean maquis, with the sea as a backdrop. A natural amphitheatre where Segesta or Epidaurus could have been built in classical times. We have preserved it intact for you. At Poggio ai Santi you will not find butlers and concierges to fill your every whim, but a guest house atmosphere which meets your real wishes. The Podere farmhouse, the Stables and Villa are orientated to use all the resources of the local climate, mild in winter and cooled in summer by the sea breeze. Everywhere we have given priority to space and silence. Our wish has been to be generous with space. At Poggio ai Santi, you will only find suites of which even the simplest offer a degree of comfort that many grand hotels can no longer afford. When we are full, we have thirty guests. The suites are spread between the three houses, each with its own charm and its specific features. Most have terraces or direct access onto the garden. The privilege of silence is rare: we have decided to support it by accepting children only over 12 years of age. ... more   less
