The hotel is very charming and beautifully located on a lake, offering stunning views. The rooms are spacious and clean, though they’re not very modern—in fact, they’re a bit dated—but still quite nice overall.

What really stands out is the staff: they are incredibly kind and made us feel truly like family. Their hospitality is exceptional.

The restaurant serves excellent food—everything we tried was delicious! Breakfast, however, is nothing special, especially compared to the high standard of the restaurant.

All in all, the value for money is excellent, and the hotel is conveniently located very close to Cortina, making it a great base for exploring the area.

Beautiful lake a stone's throw from San Vito di Cadore on which the largest restaurant is this chalet
First class restaurant
Excellent position
Kindness and courtesy as well as professionalism distinguish it with a touch of southern Puglia, given that the staff is certainly not local, which doesn't hurt at all
The dishes are good and well cooked
The price is online also considering the location

Went to this chalet for a conference dinner in its restaurant. Seemed to be a nice setting although it was dark and so hard to appreciate the lake. The outside lights were very pretty. Room well set up but the food was a disappointment. Vegetable roulade starter, then beetroot pasta, veal and strudel. The veal was very tough and fatty and there wasn't much of it. Whilst the accompanying wines were nice and the service decent, the food wasn't up to much sadly. Thankfully I wasn't paying the bill but something tells me it would be quite expensive.

In addition to being perfectly located by the lake in a very quiet location, the Inn’s team is adorable, very kind and courteous. The room was very nice typical, overlooking the lake.
Award-quality ratio is unbeatable in dolomites where everything is very expensive. That's really nice.

We also ate at the pizzeria that belongs to the Inn just below it. In addition to the lake view with a Foot in the Water Impression, we ate the best pizzas of our lives and that’s not an expression!

We recommend ++++

The restaurant Chale ao Lago was a pleasant surprise for our dinner. The view of Lake Mosigo is wonderful (especially since it is completely frozen - and we were able to walk on it). Dinner is wonderful, fast, efficient and with excellent service. See the photos.
Tip: Spatze con Speck first, then slow-cooking guanciale.

We arrived at 16:45 and the place was empty and then found out that check-in was at 17:30. Had to wait over an hour until someone showed up. Will never stay here again. Have no idea what the room is like and do not want to stay here anyway. That’s all.

Positive:
service staff is smiling and kind

Negatives:
Super cheap furnishing, small window, ugliest and least efficient bathroom ever seen without window, worst bath foam etc.. products ever seen, small tv.

2 star hotel disguised in cosy lake view one.

Last choice if around beautiful Cadore.

This hotel is in an absolutely charming, idyllic scenic spot overlooking a pretty little (albeit artificial) lake in wonderful quiet surroundings.
It is chalet style and the rooms reflect this; lots of varnished pine and white walls, pleasant and comfortable but the windows give a poor outlook - at least ours did.
That's where the good news ended for our visit.
The first night we were informed that the restaurant was closed and only the pizzeria down below was open. The pizza was ok but not what I wanted. Then we were informed that it would be 'best' if we paid by cash, even though the pizzeria clearly advertised that it took credit cards.
Next night the 'restaurant' was open. No menu though. Food was a matter of negotiation with the manager until we eventually got to something that they had in stock and we were prepared to eat. No prices of course and when it came to the bill, more than I expected to pay for what we got. Once again, we were pressured to pay, there and then rather than with the hotel bill, in cash and not by card.
Finally, when we checked out we were informed that the credit card machine was broken and we had to pay for our two nights' accommodation in cash. This meant an unscheduled trip to the bank.
Service was poor throughout - not due to unpleasantness of the staff but lack of training and experience.
Breakfast was uninspiring but adequate.

We were in San Vito di Cadore to see the finish and start of the 2012 Giro d'Italia. I'm not quite sure why anyone would go to San Vito if there weren't some sort of event, but I guess if I did go back I would stay here. The building is nice enough and the 'lake' is more a large pond out the back with a decaying mini-golf course. Nothing to fault, but nothing to write home about.

The restaurant (and hotel) is located at the foot of the mountains and overlooking a small lake !!!! so nice !!!!!
Nice food
It was frozen when we were there but in Spring i suppose it is just incredible and very romantic.
Out of town, very quiet (10 km from Cortina if you turn left / if you turn right, 2km from the "Corte Spa" via Roma in Borca di di Cadore, next mall cit,..in case you want to relax after eating).
SmallTerrasse overlooking the lake
The tables are very nice, waiters very congenial and helpful.
You can park easily, wood nearby too, disabled persons can access the restaurant easily.
100 meters away, there is a playground for children ( an adult must go with them for you can't see them from the restaurant and ......be careful of the lake...)
