We stayed at the Cocumella the last week of October. They graciously upgraded us to a beautiful room with a terrace because the place was nearly empty. (Hint: go end of season). Cocumella is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. It has a true Old World feel; the Concierge would do just fine in a James Bond movie. It is... More

We were fortunate to stay at the stunning Grand Hotel Cocumella. It was a treat in every way. The staff is warm, welcoming and willing to help in any way to make your stay comfortable. After 5 hectic and noisy nights in Florence we were especially appreciative of the quiet and luxurious room. Breakfast was elegant, with beautiful pastries, breads,... More

A good walk out of town, but there is a (free) shuttle bus at most times. Setting in an orange grove overlooking the sea. Lift down to a private rocky pier. Good swimming pool and adjoining bar with food. Everything almost grand, but slightly faded. Staff very helpful indeed, especially the concierge. The restaurant was rather limited because the menu... Perhaps it was a combination of lousy weather coupled with the end of season blahs, but we hated our 3 day stay here. The staff seemed disinterested, the place was like a ghost town and walking into Sorrento on dark poorly lit streets was no fun at all. I do think that the concierge tried. However, when we wanted to... More

A Five Star location and the grounds are absolutely delightful. An absent-minded Four Star for service. An inattentive Three Star for housekeeping. If you're happy to turn a blind eye to hairs that are not your own, room-provisions for one when there are most definitely two of you and a host of other things small enough not to be worthy... My family and I (two young kids) had an amazing time at this picturesque hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful and the grounds are just stunning. Private beach, swimming pool, spa services, you name it. Highly recommended.

We booked here during our honeymoon and had a suite the first night and a regular room the next 2. The facilities are amazing. There was a nice tennis court, an amazing pool overlooking the water, and a private dock on the water, all really classy. The staff was super friendly, I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. They keep... More

We had such a lovely stay at the Grand Hotel Columella. The outdoor terrace has the most beautiful views (with incredible sunsets!) from the clifftops, and there's a lift all the way down to the private platform in the sea - perfect for sunbathing! The sea was incredibly clear, or there's a lovely pool. Ideal location for trips into Sorrento... More

This hotel sits atop and overlooks the bay. The grounds have lots of greenery that provides a seclusion and peaceful atmosphere. The interior is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. Our room was a loft room with a sitting room on the lower level and bedroom/bathroom on the loft. The AC was only fair, after we figured out it was controlled... More

Our group took up the entire hotel which obviously put pressure on the staff at mealtime. They delivered, in a big way. Great experience, large, comfy rooms/ beds. Great shower too. Pictures of room and food attached.
