We got married in Sorrento in September and stayed here for 8 nights as a base. It was perfect for the children and they loved the pool area.
Breakfast got a bit boring towards the end of the stay and the coffee machine wasn't great,...More
I have just returned from a week at this resort and am struggling to rate it. The welcome by the reception girls was friendly. The stay was OK, we were upgraded to a two bedroom bungalow opposite reception, the rooms were a fair size and...More
Basic accommodation but it was quite satisfactory to use as a base.

The nearest beach is in around 10 minutes of walking (Marinella beach if you want to check it on the map). Of course you can swim there. There are two parts of the beach there - private (paid) and public (free, but not equiped). Sea is beautiful here. The water temperature depends on season.
But I have to notice that beaches in Sorrento are a bit unusual. It has only small areas with sand. Mostly it's like artificial platform under water and you should go down to water like in swimming pool with stairs. But in Marinella there is sand part in private beach.
