Charming...once you find it! We had walked past this place twice before we realised where it was. The very useful 'Tripadvisor' sticker in a small window was our only clue to our arrival at the Casa Cambi. Once inside and the hosts located, the greeting was warm and welcoming. The room turned out to be rather rustic but breakfast on...

Nothing but a bargain! My wife and I stayed here in July 2013. It was great, we had the room on top with terrace. One of the best views we ever had! The owner Anna prepared gorgious meals. that we will never forget. Clean and easy going place (in a good sence). Perfect for couples looking for a romantic place.....

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Casa Cambi is a lovely home/B&B, tastefully-decorated with antiques that match the rustic quaintness of the town. Beautiful view of the hills from our window. Despite the small village, Casa Cambi can be a little hard to locate if you miss the small directional signs, due to the maze of cobblestone alleys. Castelvecchio di...

This is a great place in a medieval village in the hills above Albenga. The road up there is a bit tortuous but it's worth over-coming your vertigo. We had a lovely room with a panoramic terrace. The food was good and the reception warm and friendly.

With no local knowledge we stumbled on this beautiful village and a quick search on this site pointed us to Casa Cambi. We parked our hire car and walked through the cobbled streets to the front door which was closed, although the hotel seemed to be open, linen airing in open windows, shutters open. As we knocked to no avail,...

So glad we pre booked this little gem in the hills behind Savona / Genoa. A drive from Provence en-route to our Italian sector of the holiday, and for some reason Sat-Nav refused to recognise anything in Liguria ( so not looking forward the drive into Genoa to drop the car) Anyway, after a few wrong turns, assisted by demonstrative...

We have stayed at Casa Cambi before, but I'm afraid this time was a disappointment. The location was as beautiful as ever and our room was fine, but we had not been warned that Anna would not be there for the whole five days of our trip. She left a very sweet lady in charge - but she was by...

I had reserved a room, which had been confirmed by email. When I arrived the hotel was closed and I was left homeless in the village with a 7 month old baby! I have subsequently tried to contact the hotel and they haven't returned my mail. It was a great shame as it looked nice from the outside...

We stayed in the flat at the end of town for seven nights after a 18 day cruise with 3,000 people. The silence, remoteness and beauty of Castelvecchio and the charm of Casa Cambi was a perfect haven for us and we consider it a real gem in Liguria. Anna and Marcello are welcoming and helpful - but we were...

“The room on top had this fantastic view over the mountains and valley. Also a very generous patio were we spent a lot of time reading and relaxing. A bit warm, if you stay here the warmest period and is sensitive for high temp, better to ask for rooms downstairs. The view from the garden is also very nice, a perfect place for relax and romance.”

“we were put into one of 3 apartments Anna is restoring, bigge than the hotel rooms but out of the way somewhat. Ring ahead to get exact directions on where to park. Its not easy if you havent been before”

“We had a good room, with stunning views over the mountains. It had a little sitting area beside it, which could be shared, but we had it to ourselves. I don't think it had a number but it was in the back of the house, on the same floor as the front door. We did not find the mattress very comfortable.”
