We returned for the second time to this property, and now we really feel at home. Also this time we spent a really idyllic week, despite the not exactly favorable weather. Hard to list all the merits. I would start talking about the exceptional staff, very kind and very attentive (starting from the owners Heidi and Hannes, but also all the staff, with special mention for Bardy and Cristina). The super cuisine, refined and very tasty dishes, served quickly (another important merit!), courtesy and always with an eye to the little ones. For wine lovers to report the winery really remarkable for quality and quantity.
The SPA is very rich, the pool is more than dignified in size and is aesthetically very pleasant and cared for, the perfect whirlpool pool, then gym, sauna, Turkish bath, massages (super-regenerating!)... really nothing is missing! We did not go into the adult part, which from the outside also looks very big.
True, the building with the SPA is not in the main body of the hotel, but those very few meters to do in the open air really do not weigh, quite the contrary.
Another advantage: the location and the view are exceptional for those who want to be in the middle of nature (and still well connected with Sesto and San Candido). The presence of the state road does not bother (not to mention the busy Tiburtina) and is still very convenient to quickly reach all points of interest in the area. In this regard it is useless to list all the many pearls of the Puster Valley to visit, the list would be too long.
Despite having all the amenities of a family hotel (with outdoor games and indoor miniclub service) it did not seem crowded with children, at least in the period we went.
Maybe it pays to limit the kids club to the 5pm-9pm time slot (with a break at 7pm) and in general to have few activities organized for the little ones.
However, the hours of the kids club were very suitable for our needs and personally I prefer this to hotels populated only by families with children.
The cost, especially if you avoid high season and manage to take advantage of promotions like "happy family", is absolutely appropriate to the experience.
We hope to return in winter because the location in front of the slopes is really inviting.

My husband and I spent a week in this hotel where we immediately felt welcomed and pampered. Comfortable room, nice and clean; spacious balcony from which opened a beautiful view of the mountains. Everyone from the owners to the service staff works to make the guest feel like part of a big family and to advise him as a friend (from good food to hiking trails). Much appreciated the weekly program in which we took part for two hikes and for some relaxation with a yoga class at the foot of the mountains. Lots of fun opportunities for children. The location of the hotel and the free service of two bus lines give access to many trails and mean that you can forget your car.

Second year in this beautiful hotel in an optimal location, right on the Monte Croce Pass, 10 meters from the border with Veneto.
A star less for the item "rooms" just because the rooms, this year's beautiful and spacious, do not have a mini bar, which for a 4-star is quite strange.
For the rest, especially if like us you travel with one or more four legs in tow, it is a very very pleasant structure.
Large and well-kept common areas.
Dogs are welcome everywhere except in the spa.
The ad hoc restaurant room is beautiful, with adequate table spacing, so as to ensure peaceful coexistence for all.
The waiting staff is competent, professional, very polite and nice.
Fine dining in preparations and always beautiful in presentation. The portions are not gigantic, but you get up from the table satisfied.
Rich breakfast and excellent quality, with freshly prepared omelets.
Congratulations everyone!

Old hotel, spartan rooms both in terms of furnishings and amenities, towels, shower gel etc. not 4 star, unhelpful staff at reception, we risked staying in San Candido due to a train delay, the hotel did not provide a minibus for us left there with the children giving us only the number of taxis obviously not available because they were busy, luckily we made do. Spa outside the structure with unheated swimming pool, non-existent changing rooms created between lockers and the wall where two of us could barely fit without showers, so we were forced to leave wet to return to the rooms through the snow,
Very important note: the phones (us Tim) do not work and the hotel connection is very unstable!
Tiny children's room
In short, by booking a 4-star hotel you expect much more, at least a little more courtesy from the property which has a lot to fill.
The only positive thing is the location on the slopes and the young ski instructors
Not recommended considering the cost and all lunches paid on restaurant cards without fees from hotel guests there are far superior facilities!

Wonderful hotel location, good welcome, very helpful and friendly staff.
Dated hotel and old room with the smell of cigarettes from a bygone era. The cuisine is mediocre with an imaginative but unappetising menu.
The hotel is sold as a Hotel with Spa.... The swimming pool.... It is not a swimming pool... it is very small... for 5/6 people, not suitable for a large hotel, full of children coming in and come out of the sauna and Turkish bath.... I don't recommend it to anyone who wants an hour of relaxation!
The bar, on the other hand, offers very well made cocktails.

We stayed in this hotel for eight nights after seeing it often while passing through the pass!
We didn't want luxury, but to feel at home and enjoy the splendid Sesto Dolomites and I must say that our expectations were completely satisfied!!!
The location is enviable and allows for many outdoor activities without having to take the car (skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski mountaineering) as well as enjoying the silence of the mountains (this hotel is an isolated structure on the Monte Croce pass).
The very kind staff really made us have a pleasant holiday. The cuisine uses excellent raw materials and is good for the body and soul.
The spa area, although not huge, is not very busy outside peak times and allows for a warm pampering after the day's sub-zero activities!
We still want to return in the summer. See you soon hotel kreuzberg pass!!

Great location hotel, spacious but dated room, great view. To improve cleaning, the mirror in the closet door was very dirty. Excellent restaurant, also includes the afternoon buffet and soft drinks with meals. Very nice waiter. Cute spa but only the outdoor sauna is without costume. Outdoor beds in the lawn of the sauna area not usable as they are full of bird droppings. Too bad there is no outdoor pool. The Lady at reception was not able to give me any indication about the excursions, maybe she did not understand Italian, or maybe she just did not know the area

Short holiday, but above expectations. Both the owners and all the staff are always very kind and ready to satisfy every need, even towards our four-legged friends (you really feel like you are among friends). The cuisine, excellent and varied, is always served with particular attention to detail. Breakfast and afternoon snack are also excellent. Very careful cleaning of the rooms and the environment in general. SPA, modest in size, but functional. Hotel located in an ideal area for family walks and excursions. I will return as soon as possible

Second year second confirmation of the quality of this facility! Food and service always perfect .the owners always present and kind. We replied with the choice in the annex. Cozy room with wood and new fixtures. Special thanks go to the cleaning ladies who made us always find a perfect room! A greeting to nadir that at the buffet takes care of the cold cuts and cooked espresso is a unique sweetness! And finally thanks to Orhan our waiter. There are no words to describe his profession and sympathy ..... and a big thank you to all p.s just one note. A little more light at pet resturant...

Hotel uniquely located, isolated, on a not very busy mountain pass. All around so much green space.
You wake up in the morning, go out on the balcony and everywhere you look you see mountains, woods, valleys......
A spectacular cuisine as variety and quality.
Here, at 1,600 meters I ate the best fish of my life. Always, among the various choices of the day, there was fish, crustaceans, molluscs, etc.
In the mid-August buffet there was an esplanade with various WHOLE fish: snapper, turbot, ombrina, sea bass, salmon, as well as many other dishes.
The morning buffet was also very varied. Very convenient centrifuge available to guests. In a moment you put the vegetables already prepared on a tray and make your own centrifuge with celery, cucumbers, ginger, carrots, etc.
Special note the kindness, courtesy and helpfulness of ALL staff.
Large and well-kept rooms, although not brand new. I only notice the lack of the minibar that in a 4-star hotel there should be.
So absolutely positive experience that I plan to repeat this winter.
P. S. In the days before your stay Recommendation to eat little and stay light. You will have some less remorse in front of the buffet.

Cordiali saluti Heidi Aichner Hotel Passo Monte Croce
