The grounds at the Millcroft are beautiful - landscape, hiking trails, areas to sit and enjoy. The spa is wonderful and we visited a couple times to enjoy the pools/sauna/steam rooms. Unfortunately we did not dine in as the prices were too high for us (standard breakfast for $25? No thank you). We stayed in the Crofts, and while spacious with amenities like heated bathroom floor, two TVs, jacuzzi, bar… the room and furniture could use updating. The couch was very worn, the toilet roll holder was broken, and lots of paint chips on trim. The pillows on the bed were very lumpy, so although the bed was comfortable, sleep was not great with bad pillows.
I will start with the staff, the hotel, restaurant, and spa staff was friendly and warm (ok maybe one restaurant manager was a little sluggish and needed to smile). Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic and the salad is definitely for two. Our waiter was awesome, engaging, friendly, and made the night. The breakfast skillet is very good, though a Keto version would have been a great option. The pools and spa were in great shape and it was nice to stay and use them more than on our past day trips. Change rooms were clean and nice to have a bag for wet swimsuits. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to soak under the stars with a glass of bubbly. ( suggested upgrade?) Negs: The room was really tired and disappointing. Stains on the living room furniture, even the floor lamp( how does that happen?) The wall colour of the croft walls was drab and needs a refresh to a lighter off-white. Would definitely brighten the room. The bathroom door had been smashed in the past and repaired but the signs are clear. But the mystery of what happened and why with all the covid downtime, little things weren't taken care of? The showerhead would not stay up.... clear needs to be replaced or given viagra Continental breakfast is not worth $15, I've had better at Best Western.…
I had a really nice stay, and celebrated my birthday there wuth the retreat to nature package. I was able to walk a trail, vist the sauna, hot springs, indoor pool and outdoor pool. Great for taking pictures. I was in a croft style room it was nice and clean and I loved how close it was to the spa and restauraunt. I would reccomend taking an overnight visit!
I stayed in the main mill in a lovely room with a view of the water. Appreciated the falls and trails that surround property. Enjoyed the hot springs water access and friendly staff. Wish I had had more time there. Arrived after 4pm and Asked for late check out the next day but they had a large group coming so needed the rooms. Wish they had tea options in the morning and not just coffee. I would like to return and try the Croft rooms.
Had a beautiful stay at the Millcroft Inn and Spa. Food and amenities all top notch. Fred our waiter was extremely accommodating to my dietary needs. Definitely would visit again. Unable to get a spa treatment, because it was all booked up.
My husband and I have been looking forward to a weekend getaway. Millcroft Inn did not disappoint. All the staff at the Inn, restaurant and spa were very friendly and helpful. All of our needs were catered to and our well being looked after. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I were looking forward to a relaxing getaway. Pros: -Sushma Amin was an excellent RMT. Ask for her by name if you can. -Fred was an incredible waiter at Headwaters restaurant and the food was outstanding. -the mill and surrounding property are beautiful. Cons: -the Croft rooms are extremely dated. -there was a disgusting white stain on the couch. The couch cushions were balled up on the edges, like a well-worn sweater. -the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. -there was a bag of dog poop sitting outside our door -I wrote the word “hi” in the layer of dust on the side table. -there were ant traps all over the indoor pool area. -there was a black ring of scum around the edge of the indoor pool and also in the hot tubs outside. Did I complain? No. Why? Because the staff already gave us $150 dollar credit for the fact that there was no hot water in our room, and I doubted there was a better place they could have put us. I honestly felt sorry for the staff, because they must not hear anything but complaints from the state of the place. I’m not one to slam a business when I know that there are people whose lives depend on the jobs they work there, but as patrons we deserve to spend our money well too. In this case, choose to spend your money elsewhere.…
Really enjoyed that you can start your experience at 1pm at the spa before the check in at 3. My husband and I enjoyed the hot springs and pool and sauna etc and then our key was waiting for us at the spa when we were done at the spa. This was a really nice touch. We stayed on the Crofts. Room was nice. Loved the hot tub. All the pools and our own hot tub were very clean. Dinner was lovely and Fred, our waiter was fun. Breakfast was simple but yummy. Went for a lovely walk on one of the trails. Check out at 11. It felt like we had stayed for a long visit. I would highly recommend for a couples escape!
I booked a weekend away to celebrate an anniversary. Overall my experience was just ‘okay’ but for the price I paid I was expecting ‘excellent’. The grounds are really pretty and there are nice easy hikes right on the property which was nice. The pools are nice, clean and relaxing and there was a bar nearby if you wanted a drink. I really wanted to have a couples massage but when I tried to book it a few weeks before our arrival I was told that there was only one massage therapist on site for the day we would be there. I was so disappointed…for a busy Saturday I would have expected at least 2. So hence, we did not get our massage :( I wanted to order room service and had requested a small table and chairs be brought to our room to properly eat our meal and was told that they no longer do this now that the dining room is open. What a disappointment!! We paid a lot of money for a nice meal and had to eat off an ottoman! They ask you what they can do to make your stay more enjoyable and don’t even accommodate. It’s the little things like that that they could have done to make our stay amazing, but they failed. Also note, if staying in the Croft room, it is very outdated and the room was really hot with no way to control the temperature as the control dial did not work. Due to this I would not recommend this place to friends/family.…
