My wife and I have recently returned from another lovely stay at the friendly and family run Hotel Genova. The hotel is in an excellent location being 1 minute from the beach and 10 minutes from the centre of Sestri Levante. We stayed in a very comfortable superior double room which was, as always, spotlessly clean with fresh towels daily and bathroom supplies regularly replenished. Due to Covid restrictions the usual extensive buffet breakfast was replaced by table service. Despite this the family and the lovely friendly girl who works in the breakfast room ensured the same extensive choice of juices, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, focaccia, meats, chesses, eggs etc etc was available. You simple ordered whatever you wanted from the breakfast menu provided and this was brought to your table. If you're looking for an excellent choice of hotel in the mid price range I would certainly recommend checking out Hotel Genova. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

It’s very clean and conveniently located, few meters away from the sea. Staff is kind and ready to help. But rooms are claustrophobically small, bathroom keys are missing and they use the typical cheap detergents for towels. Overall, overpriced

Thank you very much for your review. I'm sorry that our room aren't big enough for your claustrophobical problem. I also want to thank you since you are the first guest talking about "detergents for towels"...it's very funny!

Stayed here for a week while visiting the cinque terre. Warmly welcomed, efficient check in, superior double room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and the waitress was very friendly. Sestri Levante was a beautiful town with gorgeous restaurants and the hotel was very well located. Train station around the corner, seafront a one minute walk and we availed of the free bikes from the hotel for a lovely morning cycle on the promenade. Would love to return and definitely recommend this hotel run by a beautiful friendly family. Thank you

Enjoyed our stay here. We had a superior triple room with view of the sea on the 3rd floor with a good space, big windows and view of the sea. The cleanliness was excellent as the room and bathroom were mopped and cleaned every day. Air conditioning seemed bit slow to kick in at first but got better after a day or so had a comfortable sleep and the pillows and bed were good. Breakfast had good fresh bread rolls, croissants, pastries as well as fresh fruit and cereals. Also cappuccino and hot chocolate served at table. The pastries and cakes were lovely. Beach and station very close by and walk to old town only 5 minutes away. There is a good restaurant next door worth visiting. Hotel is family run and staff were friendly and helpful. Sestri Levante is only just over and hour from Pisa and 1 hour 15 to Genoa and we used the trains to visit these cities. Fares cheap for trains and most had air con. You can also visit cinque terre from here by train or boat - although we found these towns pretty they were overcrowded and food was pricey.
