while on a daytrip to Spoleto, we popped into a secluded restaurant...Il Panciolle. the welcome was warm, as was the ambience and the open fire on which the chef grilled our Misto di Carne! Grrreaat! That was great food at a reasonable price. Thanks to the restaurant management and staff. strongly recommended!

Il Panciolle was just the right place for our one-night stay in this town--next time it will be longer. Quiet part of town, good, affordable rooms, with great views. It was a 10 min. walk from the local bus that brought us up to the town; check-in was easy and fast. This accomplished, we hit the pavement to explore: a... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, it is in a great position on the top of the hill near the Duomo a short walk to restaurants, shops and landmarks. There is a carpark nearby . The staff were friendly but spoke little English so it was hard to get parking directions, recommendations for restaurants and what to do... More

Albergo Ristorante Il Panciolle in Spoleto (down the street from the Palazzo Dragoni Historical Residence and near the Cathedral) does not get perfect marks, but its strong points easily outweigh its minor demerits. Strong points: Very charming, quiet area, nice views of the valley, plenty of character, cheerful rooms, good air conditioning, homey feel, wide staircase and landing, close to... More

I was a solo traveller staying here in May and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and its location. I enjoyed it so much that I actually extended my stay for another 3 nights. I had a lovely room overlooking Spoleto and the hills in the background, waking up to the sound of the birds singing every morning. It was magic! The... More

A really nice little hotel in a lovely town. Nice, quiet location but still close to almost everything. Room was quiet and comfortable, if a little small - but for the price you can't expect the Taj Mahal! Great restaurant and the chef, as well as being great at his job, is a genuinely top bloke.Watch the low doorway to... More

Lovely character-filled place in the old quarter. Nice view out over the town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room and ensuite were adequate, and clean. Had dinner at the adjoining restaurant which was very enjoyable sitting outside with the view and excellent service. Breakfast was fine.

This is an excellent hotel and my stay here was most enjoyable. It is a good unpretentious albergo with a dining area overlooking some superb Italian landscape. It has a view and standards to rival those of more expensive establishments. I would go back here again

Loved the hotel. Great location, spacious a/c'd room and free parking for our hire car in the "blue spaces". Only (quirky) criticism would be the inclusive breakfasts. Boy those Italians do like sugar. Sugary cereals, jams, preserves, nutella, iced croissants, sweetened fruit juice all a bit too much for me at that time in the morning. Would have loved just... Nice and cozy little hotel, very central, just near the Duomo, but kinda around the corner, so not that easy to find at first. Comfortable rooms, friendly owners and staff, nice breakfast and a worth-a-visit gourmet restaurant of the same name downstairs, where you can dine on the terrace with a view to the green umbrian hills.
