My husband and I experienced an absolutely horrible day while driving from Sorrento to our planned destination of Perugia. At Orte, the A1 was completely stopped, and then closed. We were stuck on the highway for 2 hours! We thought it was due to an accident, but were later informed that it was due to a strike. It was late,...

The hotel is in a nice position in Town, easy distance from all main touristic and historical places. As we where part of a wedding party we been lucky to be upgrade to a larger room. The room itself was nice but quite dark, the hotel is ok with a lot of pieces of art scattered around the public areas....

Situated almost at the top of the in the old town of Spoleto this hotel is situated on a quiet square that becomes a hub in the evening when vistors as well as locals visit the restaurant. Our room had views over the Umbrian hills, though our room was not completely clean when we arrived, it had to be re-cleaned...

We stayed at this family run hotel recently for the last three nights of an escorted tour. The food was excellent both at Dinner and Breakfast although the extra bitter coffee was foul and quite the worst that we came across all trip. To out taste undrinkable. The rooms were quaint but clean but lacking a little in storage. The safe...

This is a little hotel in a little hill town in Umbria, with all the charm one would expect from such a setting. It's a family-owned operation, and the owner is usually available. He doesn't speak any English, but most of his staff is fluent in several languages. The rooms are clean and adequate, though nothing special. The lobby and...

With a dearth of places right in the old part of Spoleto, Clitunno is the place to stay during your trip here. The rooms are smallish--although the one I stayed in faced a beautiful valley and had the most incredible sunset views. Other rooms faced the ALLEY and/or the noisy street; but keeping it in perspective, you wouldn't want to...

My partner and I plus 2 friends stayed here for 2 nights as part of a walking trip through Umbria. First impressions were positive: an attractive terrace in front of the hotel, a welcoming lobby and - after a longish walk up and down various steps - a good-sized room, well furnished in a traditional style plus a well-equipped bathroom....

The hotel is right in the centre of town and gets quite busy with the locals weekend nights but lots of atmosphere but the best bit is the hotel food is excellent - eat in evenings don't go out. We really enjoyed ourselves but not sure I would go back to stay just book the restaurant. The hotel rooms are...

I expected a smaller hotel, smaller room but also expected decent dining room. Was on a tour, stayed 4 nights, and we were treated very well. The room was small and, I suppose because its built on a hillside,, there were 3 steep steps down into our bathroom...had to leave light on overnight so we didn't trip! But it was...
