Spoleto is a fantastic small town full of awesome food. The hotel Dei Duchi is in a great location, walking distance into town and the underground moving sidewalks entrance just across the street. A great, easy way to get to the higher points of town. Most rooms have great views. The rooms are somewhat basic, but very clean.

We spent one night (October 4, 2016) at this hotel after spending hours researching places to stay in Spoleto. We liked that it was next to the pedestrian entrance to the city, adjacent to the ancient theater ruins, had free parking, and was modern and clean. Also, reasonably priced. We had a balcony room overlooking a playing field and the...

This would have been a good choice had it not been for the rude staff members we dealt with. It's hard to understand how such a nice hotel can be managed by people who seem to have no experience in the hospitality industry. From the moment we entered with our bags to the moment we left we were never greeted...

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel and had booked a Umbria-package included local dinner with wine for one evening. All the food were very good, and even the wine was local (DOCC). Nice room and wonderfull breakfast.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and it was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a generous breakfast buffet and superb location. We had a room with a door to a neighboring room, which is a slight inconvenience due to more noise.

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in during a 3 week trip. It is all you could want in a hotel, and in a beautiful city. The staff were absolutely superior to almost every other hotel in Italy. The breakfast was 1st class. BUT, never, ever take a taxi in Italy- their rates are way beyond outrageous....

Spoleto was the first stay on our tour of northern Italy. We had four nights at this Hotel and enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was very room, comfortable and clean. Great views over the Valley. It is located right beside the site of a roman amphitheatre and very close to the town centre. Easy walking distance to everything in...

The hotel's best feature is its location, right on the edge of the historic centre, close to everything and with very nice views all round. The rooms are quite well equipped, it has a modest but useful car park, quite a decent restaurant that you would want to eat at, despite the many restaurants nearby, and breakfast (included in tariff)...

I recently spent almost two weeks here, as part of a larger group, and they could not have been more kind and accommodating to us! The hotel is modern in style, scrupulously clean, and comfortably furnished, with beautiful views all around. Our room was on the shady side of the building (helpful in the August heat) with a lovely balcony...
