The hotel is located very close to the seafront, with friendly staff and nice and clean beach. But there are a few tips that should be kept in mind if you are going to stay there.
1. The hotel management requires to wear swimming caps when swimming in the pool, so don't forget to take them with you. The caps in the nearest store will cost 5-10 euro each. In addition, the pool itself is not very clean, and there are no free beach towels.
2. The hotel is quite far from city center (3 km, or 40 minutes walk). There is shuttle service, but it is not free (2.5 euro per person to Lido, or 4 euro to other places in Terracina), and has limited availability (only one small bus). Don't hope to rent bicycles at the hotel -- they are in very bad condition. So the most convenient way is to rent a car or moto-bike somewhere.
3. The sunbeds are free only at the swimming pool. The sunchairs on the beach will cost you unimaginable 12 euros per pair per day! So use sunbeds at the pool, and swim in the sea. Many sunbeds at the pool are broken, so check yours carefully before lay on them!
4. The Mountain View ("Vista Monte") rooms are much cheaper and better than Sea View ("Vista Mare") ones. There are many loud-speaking parties at the seafront, even at nights, and it could be annoying for those who selected Sea View rooms. In Mountain View rooms there are almost no noise -- you can sleep with open balcony door. In addition, many Mountain View rooms (especially on higher level floors -- 8-11) offer excellent view on Mountains, bird-eye view on the whole Terracina and on the seafront ("lungomare")!
5. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.
6. The shower in the room is quite small.
7. There are many russian guests in the hotel.

We have just come back from my son's wedding in Frosinone and stayed in Torre del Sole for 7 nights afterwards. The hotel is clean, with very helpful staff who speak English. We had a fridge, SKY TV, a safe and a balcony. Swimming hats have to be worn in the pool, and these can be bought in the kiosk next to the pool for 3 euros each. Each room staying for a week gets 2 deckchairs and an umbrella on the beach included in the price and these can be upgraded to sunloungers at a price of 6 euros each per day. The good thing is you can book them for the whole of your stay and no-one else can pinch them. There are lifeguards on the beach and they will sort out complaints - not that we saw any. One of the lifeguards carried a disabled girl from her wheelchair to the sea and back again whenever she wanted - how's that for caring? I was a in trouble with the food as I don't eat pasta!! Bearing in mind this is not really a package holiday destination I couldn't complain but I didn't like having to pay for Wifi either (8 euros for a total of24 hours but you could split it up. Having said that we would definitely go again and I can see us going back repeatedly. Lovely lovely holiday!

Well, I'd start saying that Terracina is quite a weird place, it's not tourist-friendly. It's the place for people from Lazio region who have houses by the sea there. It was the 1st time I've been to a place where's NO taxi. The hotel located not in center but within a good walk which was not a problem for us though can be an issue for someone. Another "surprise" was that they close the hotel after midnight except the weekend, means if you were in town till late would be quite difficult to get in. Hotel management care more about their private guests who have frequent parties there than the needs of hotel guests.
Generally, hotel is in good condition but too many downsides to consider it as 4* hotel. For instance, poor breakfast (fortunately, we didn't book half board). There is a great restaurant in the city called 'Centosedici' (116) with a sea view, friendly staff and delicious dishes.
The best thing about this hotel is spectacular view from quite big balconies of the rooms.

Hotel very very old. Rooms are ugly, toilet cabin it’s claustrophobic. I was cold and took blanket from the cabinet and it’s was smelling o bad like it was never washed. I call reception and say it’s dirty and I would like to have a clean one, the bring me another one, which they put perfume on top to hide the not washed smell inside, while it was very dirty inside. The restaurant of hotel have a very poor menu. In the pool of hotel you have a serie of stupid rules like can’t take you floater, have to use swimming cup, from 6,30 pm you can’t use pool.

In short, a part of beach in front of hotel, this is a 3 star hotel and not 4. Plus you have to pay to use beach.

The Hotel is stated as a 3 star hotel and I think that is about right, its clean tidy and well decorated and a pleasure to stay at.

The staff are generally friendly and helpful but some hotel 'policies' made me wince a bit! Like the fact that you had to buy a cloth swimming cap to use the hotel pool, @ 3 Euros a piece, and 10 Euros for a sun lounger per day on the private beach!

Our room/s, a bedroom, bathroom and lounge with double bed settee was getting on for 200 Euros per night for 2 adults and 1 child to stay there bed and breakfast. It would have been an extra 20 euros per person (60 Euros) per day if we had wanted to add Either a dinner or lunch to make it a half board stay! We chose not to as the menu on the evening was a semi fixed one and was not the most imaginative and also we had reports that the quality of the food was lacking somewhat to what you could expect at local restaurants, which proved very true!!

So at nearly 200 euros per night I would have expected a little extra from the hotel's facilities. We were told before booking that the hotel had internet facilities in common areas, tis proved to be false. In running my own business I needed access to emails and other facilities which I was not able to have at this hotel, (but I did have at an 80 euro a night hotel in Rome, the week earlier!!) So this caused me a great deal of pain and loss of business, it also stopped me checking return flights, travel arrangements etc etc. very inconvenient as I had asked the question before booking!

I would have expected that the room would also have had either a mini bar or a refrigerator even if just to keep your bottled water cool, but no such luck, so it was warm water or beer / wine whilst you were in your room during the stay.

We ate out every night either at the restauraunt at the end of the access road to the hotel, 500 meter's away (5 min walk) or at one of the many excellent restaurants in Terracina. Getting to Terracina we xpected to be a problem but the hotel offers a shuttle at 2 euro's per person up to 8pm into Terracina and if you book a late hotel bus back it worked out at 10 euros for a 10pm trip back, so 16 euros in total for a night out and this was compensated for a far better choice in food and the cost of eating out was generally far cheaper than at the hotel, if you wanted to eat on a budget. We chose to eat at lovely restaurants and these were not too expensive but the quality was stunning so the choice is yours.

The pool at the hotel is lovely, cleaned every morning although the opening times again are bizarre not opening some mornings til after 10am and closing at 7-7.30pm!! Water temp in the pool was constant 32 degrees, and the sea was not far off that either :-)

So all in all a lovely hotel in a gorgeous location, which lets itself down slightly by the lack of a few basic things (fridge, internet etc.) We would stay there again but would hope that they would have picked up on reviews like this one and added those things and modified things like pool opening times more to the guests requirements as opposed to their staff's needs!

8/10

It was difficult in the beginning getting to the hotel as we took the train from Termini. Once we got to the hotel we were in heaven. We had a room over looking the ocean. The rooms are clean and spacious. Each room has a large balcony and most have a great view. We swam in the ocean, the pool, tanned and spent the evening at the restaurant.

The food and service at the restaurant for dinner was great. The pool was great to lounge by (bring a swim cap or purchase one from the hotel). You need to either bring a towel or rent/buy one there as well so you can use it at the pool or beach.

Getting to Terracina can be tricky if you are taking the train. We took a train to Monte San Biago and then took the bus into Terracina from there. The train was only about 6 euros each way and the bus was free I think (we didn't pay). I recommend calling the hotel before you arrive at the train station and have them pick you up from the station when you arrive (they will do this...there are only 2 cabs in TErracina). If you choose to take the bus it comes every hour. There is also a train to terracina but it comes twice a day.

Warning: be careful in rome at the termini station...lots of crime, pick pockets, etc.... stay around people, watch your stuff...don;t keep a purse available for people to grab and do not keep your wallet in your back pocket.

Visitors who are expecting 4 star hotel standards will be disappointed -
*hotel inside looks very old, *rooms are small size
*no gym
*no music playing in the evening or activities available
*extra blankets are not available
with sheets
*Iron is also not available

Everything would be okey if this was a 3 star hotel.

To sum up - I would not recommend staying here.

This was our second stay. I would go back very enjoyable stay. It would help to get around if you get a car your not close to town its a bit of a walk. Thursdays they have a huge flee market lots of good deals. The hotel serves a nice breakfest included, and you can buy lunch or dinner at the hotel. The rooms are good size and kepted clean. Bring swimming caps for when swimming in hotel pool. The beach is a 30 second walk very close, we just left our towels at the pool walked down to beach swam alittle then went back to dry off at the pool area. At night they play music by the bar you can dance if you want. The food at the bar was mostly fast food but very good just the same and not overly priced. Lots of free parking, first time finding the hotel is a bit tricky. We enjoyed the stay the staff treated us good they speak lots of different languages.

We spent 2 weeks in this hotel. It was boring. There is nothing besides the sea and the swimming pool.... Why 4* ??? No children's playground, no sauna, gym, no SPA, no games (billiards, tennis etc.) It's far from Terracina and the 4* shuttle bus has no condition :). We paid for the sea view and 4 nights per week we could not sleep because of the private parties held on the hotel territory (in the terrace and in the swimming pool area) Sometimes they had fun till 3 pm at night! I would never go there again!
