We booked a private transfer from our booking agent so I am unsure of the cost. However the travel time is around 30 minutes, may be less, I doubt it would be too expensive by taxi or private car service. Also for days out, use the bus from main square and trains from Pisa for trips to Florence. Bus is about 2 euros to Pisa and train from Pisa to Florence also very reasonable compared to the UK.
