My boyfriend and I spent two WONDERFUL nights at Casale dei Frontini in the Summer of 2006. The farm, a converted monastery, and its location on the hilltop overlooking Todi is lovely, but what I know we will remember even more is the hospitality and kindness of Michele, Silvana and the rest of the family. Upon arrival on a stunning...

My husband and I stayed at Casale dei Frontini on the recommendation of a friend and we have been thanking her ever since! The hosts, Corrado and Silvana, are wonderfully warm people who have created an oasis in the heart of Umbria. Their beautifully restored monastery is completely comfortable, and perfectly situated for day tours to the many medieval hill...

Casale dei Frontini, located 8 km from Todi is centrally located to all there is to see and enjoy in Umbria, the "green heart of Italy". The word Casale means farmhouse and Frontini is the name of an ancient Roman family. Casale dei Frontini is a 17th century convent renovated into a tranquil county home with the same devotion it...

The Casale dei Frontini stole our hearts. Its history began when the father of the current owner, Corrado Trippetta, bought this delightful hillside property and its lovely 17th century monastery (now the inn) many years ago to increase grazing land for his Chianini cattle. Today, the Trippettas still raise about fifteen head of this ancient breed (once used by the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our guests tell us that they feel as if they have walked into a fairy tale, a magical place where time stops and the medieval world and the twenty-first century unite in quiet and harmony. This is true. It is peaceful here except for the sounds of ducks and cows and hens. The rabbits, the horse, and barn cats disturb no one, and our big-hearted little dogs 'Tequila' and 'Small' seldom bark, although they will welcome you with gratitude. Our family, my wife and two sons, renovated these lovely buildings with the same taste and devotion with which they were originally built three hundred years ago. ... more   less
