I had to go to Varese for family reasons and I had received an offer through Booking for a room with breakfast.
Arrived easily at this hotel out there
City, free internal parking, you find yourself surrounded by greenery also given the proximity to the lake. At the entrance there is a very large hall, a very friendly guy at reception, an average room and a large, well-made bathroom. Quiet area and total relaxation though
To be a 4 star and to pay for that
Number per person according to many things missing:
- kettle and a minimum of coffee/tea in the rooms
- broken telephone in the room
- absence of disposable slippers
- breakfast not very rich and above all without some products (zero low-fat yogurt, zero lactose-free yogurt), at 9 they ran out of croissants and the manager told us that I had to adapt to what was out there, little choice of sweets and savory foods
- they didn't have a bike service to go out for a walk
- they don't have a gym
Let's say overall it can be okay but I repeat for a 4 star and at certain figures in my opinion these details need to be improved because they then make the difference.

This hotel was very nice! Spacious rooms, large bathroom and shower. Excellent lighting and airflow. A full-length mirror, a mini fridge, complimentary waters, and a peaceful exterior. The beds were comfortable with two pillows each. We had a 2 twin bedroom.
The dining area for dinner and breakfast were beautiful and elegant. The entire hotel is one-level (bedsides the dining area) which is great for weary travellers, the eldery or disabled. The staff were also very friendly.

The modern building is stunning, the rooms and public areas are spacious, the area is quiet. Our only complaints were the limited menu choice, quality of food and portion sizing in the restaurant for dinner. We arrived late after delays at the San Gottardo tunnel, we were the only people in the restaurant but had to ask twice for my glass of wine. The beer was warm and sent back, the table water wasn’t chilled, the bread rolls were like concrete. Since there is little eating choice in the area it would benefit the hotel to up their game, perhaps they don’t bother because they have a captive audience. I don’t think we would stay again despite enjoying our room.

The room are big and the hotel is looking amazing but unfortunately the room was full of ants 🐜 and really really warm. It took 4 hours to cool down the room with the air conditioner not very efficient.
The Wi-Fi is very slow as well.
The breakfast is not a really full continental breakfast and doesn’t reflect the hotel price.
Overall not the worst but I personally don’t recommend this hotel if you don’t like ants on your ears during the night.

I stayed at this hotel for business. I accompanied a group of 83 people. Large parking, very convenient and spacious entrance, great for handling such large groups. The rooms are all on the ground floor, easy to reach, large and comfortable.Impeccabile cleanliness and friendly and professional staff. Good food with a simple but interesting menu. The very kind and present manager, cares about customer satisfaction and is extremely helpful. The location is great for reaching Milan. Recommendation.

Hotel located near Varese lake. 10 min cab ride in to Varese town. Apart from a restaurant, isn’t it something around the hotel. Parking spot for every room, so a good hotel if you have your own car.
The room was a bit old, with a carpet on the whole floor. It was clean, and room cleaning during the stay was good. Minibar with water for 1 Euro and safe in the room. Own door to a parking lot/sitting space outside.
The breakfast wasn’t really impressive, some pastry that was mostly dry and not much else. The dinner on the other side, was really good. Both the pasta and the pizza dishes was really good, and for a reasonably price. The hotel “bar” was staffed with the receptionist, who honestly was more a receptionist than a mixologist.
The staff was all over friendly and helpful.

molto bello!
We are guests with a group, clean hotel, clean rooms, and well conditioned.
Very good food despite a set menu.
we were served good fruit salad and tasty pesto trofie.
scarce wine and sparkling water served in natural bottles.
unprofessional service and waitresses by hotel standards

we recently stayed for one night in this hotel with my wife and my little girl who was a few weeks old, we had a great time.
The room was practically perfect, great attention and courtesy from the staff to our slightly particular needs as we had a newborn baby and an excellent and plentiful breakfast.
The green context where the structure is located is also beautiful.
The price found and the location near the Lake Varese cycle path were excellent. I advise

The Capolago was a wonderful hotel for our family. We were traveling with our grand daughters and had to have a double room. We were all very comfortable. The breakfasts that were included were very delicious with many options. The workers were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the restaurant in the hotel was not open for lunch or dinner because of the holidays. This was inconvenient. We managed to find places to eat not far from the hotel.

Airco was not working. It was a very hot day. Each time we went to ask to fix the airco issue, they said to wait another 20 minutes and it would be OK. This clearly wasn’t true.
Impossible also to leave a window open for fresh air. After 2 hours in a very bad room we decided to check out. The hotel personnel was surprised by our departure. I said that when I book and pay for a room with airco, I expect to have this. I do not want a free dinner whatsoever. I want what I pay for. The hotel personnel admitted that the airco was broken since a few days and the technician did not come or couldn’t repair it. So we have been lied to and we had to pay for 2 nights while we didn’t stay there.
I would not recommend this hotel at all.

have a nice time
Dear Mrs Kaye,
you can arrive from Milan to Varese by train; then you can get a taxi or a bus to the hotel (the train station is 6 km far from the hotel). The cost for the taxi is euro 15,00 more or less.
Remaining available for any further information, I send my best regards.
