I stayed at this property for one night only, passing through for my trip from Puglia to Switzerland. The property is located in a strategic position, has in front of a gas station, it is easy to get there and get out of the city. The room adapted to quadruple thanks to the sofa bed present proved to be adequate in size compared to our needs (4 adults) and we did not suffer lack of space. Large bathroom. The only aspect to improve is the minibar in the room unfortunately so tiny that it makes it difficult to put a bottle in the cool. Indoor parking spaces are limited (only 3) and a little tight and provide a price supplement but if you do not have special needs as in my case this is not a problem because the structure has outdoor parking.

We had a great 4-night stay at the Hotel Ungheria on a cycling trip in the Northern Italian lakes area. Our room was spotless, large and comfortable. Simone and his staff went out of their way to treat us like we were royalty. They could not have been more helpful and attentive. If you are a cyclist, take advantage of the large, locked bike room with tools. Breakfasts were excellent, and while there is no nearby spot for dinner, the hotel is right across the street from the bus stop that will take you to the center of Varese.

A great base for my short cycling holiday in Varese. The room was perfect for my needs and the staff were so helpful & friendly - they provided everything I asked for and it was like they took me in as one of their family. If I am ever back this way I will be sure to stay again.

Hotel Ungheria Varese 1946 was exactly what we were looking for in our visit to the Lake Maggiore and Como area. The staff went above an beyond multiple times for us and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. We loved our little balcony and how close everything was to their location. The (family) hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast offers plenty of choice and high quality (e.g. squeezed oranges, eggs made to order, bresaola). The room was large, the 180 bed very good. The odd numbered rooms overlook the Alps in the distance.
