Stayed a few days with a family at this hotel. Rooms facing the main street are quite noisy. They are not small which is a good point, however need thorough renovation a long time ago (especially bathrooms). They say that a swimming pool is heated, actually it is not and water was cold. Wi-Fi is supplementary at a cost but...

We arrived in August when the hotel was completely full. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived but the excellent Receptionist went out of her way to arrange for our bags to be stored, had someone show us to the pool, refreshments and sunbeds! We were then told just as soon as the rooms were ready. The rooms were on...

Viareggio for me is nowhere I would return to & this hotel disspite it's very good location was very dissapointing. Around the rooftop swimming pool, no service could not even get a glass of water unless put ourselves out & went to the spa, was a bar there but closed up despite the pool area being full. We stayed here for the Pucinni Festival. The hotel is of the old grand style with one or two features that seem a bit tired. The receptions staff are helpful and the rooms OK. Our standard hill room was nothing special but perfectly sound. It seemed overpriced however at 300 euros per night. The roof pool is elegant but could...

This is a beautiful old world luxury hotel that is so well appointed and has some of the finest service we've had. Complimentary bikes, great front desk reception. When they discovered that we were celebrating a milestone event, they sent wine up to the room. They treated us like royalty.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your kind email. We always try to do our best to let the guests “feel like a Prince”. We are proud of our reception desk team!! They really love their job. This is a big "Grand and luxury hotel" but with the familiar parfume of “ Small House”. Hoping to see you soon, we remain...

This hotel is a real gem. Not too big, classic style and definitely five star service. From the time we checked in until we left the staff greated us by our names every time, were eager to help and so friendly from the maid cleaning our room right up to the duty manager. The decor is old world Italian except...

Dear Madame, We were waiting for your mail, as you promised us to write it. We are very upset to notice that you are telling things differently as really happened. All the staff was at your complete disposal for more than 2 hours, trying to understand what kind of problem there was with the light system in your room. We...

We picked this hotel for a spontaneous getaway for just one night. At first when we arrived we had mixed feelings about the place. I must say it is time to renew most of the rooms. We had a sea view room which costs extra but is worth the price. When we opened the window we forgot about all little...

We normally like to stay in small boutique hotels or B&Bs, and were reluctant to book into a large (106 rooms) Grand Dame hotel. We stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights in early June, and I am glad we made an exception in this case. Principe di Piemonte lives up to its “Grand Hotel” billing in every way. Our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This storied luxury hotel on the seafront promenade in Viareggio is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Built in the early 1920s, restored to the height of its charm in 2004 after 19 months' refurbishment work, today the Principe is without doubt one of the world's most exclusive and refined historical hotels. The 106 rooms, including 19 suites, on five floors decorated in different styles, represent an ideal cross-section of elegant hospitality over the ages, through to the contemporary design of the sun-drenched rooftop swimming pool. The "Piccolo Principe" and "Regina" restaurants have also made their own contribution to the renown built up over the years by the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio. The Two-starred Michel restaurant "Piccolo Principe" offers sophisticated cuisine against the magnificent backdrop of the panoramic roof garden, where guests dine in summer, while the "Regina" restaurant offers traditional Tuscan fare. ... more   less
