Little to add to all the other positive reviews but to agree! The restoration is a labour of love, the location is stunning and the food was delicious. We stayed in the main house which was fascinating complete with the original 18th century furnishings in some places - almost exactly as it was. The welcome from Giovanna was lovely, to be...

We have just returned from a truly wonderful four night stay at Villa Guisso with our family of 3 teenagers (13, 15 and 17). The welcome from Erminia could not have been more heartfelt and we were served chilled sparkling wine and freshly made pizza margherita and fruit juice for the children on the terrace with a view of the...

We had a 4 night short break at Astapiana - what a beautiful place! Huge family suite (decorated in baroque italian style furniture) for 4 of us with ensuite - great value for money. Hearty breakfast every morning and room cleaned every day. Perfect location for Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Very welcoming hosts who recommended some great local restaurants...

We loved staying at Villa Guisso. Erminia was a perfect host. She loved sharing stories of the place and made it come alive. She made you feel so welcome. The homemade food and the pizza was the best. We highly recommend Villa Guisso

My husband and I were blown away by the beauty of the place and the rich history came alive with Ermione's tour and stories of her family's past. We also enjoyed dinner and breakfast with the other guests at the long tables surrounded by Majoilica tiled walls. We would go back here in a heartbeat.

Worth the drive, wish we could have stayed longer. Fabulous hostess, amazing food and incredible location. Stayed in the monks accommodation which was great for extra room and outside area to relax. Would highly recommend.

Masseria Astapiana, Villa Giusso is a gem. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its main building is several hundred years old, filled with antiques and interesting photos of the Giusso family (which has owned the estate since the early 19th Century, after Napoleon had evicted the Camoldoli monks for whom it had been their...

Villa Giussi has kept its interior as it was 150 years ago. This leads to some discomfort sometimes (e.g. the doors do not lock well), but this is more than compensated by its stunning location and friendly staff. Besides, the food is wonderful.

This was our second visit to Astapiana Villa Giusso (third if you count a brief stopover) and it remains one of our favorite destinations in Italy. Here's why: It is a magical destination in of itself, a place which lives and breathes its history. You can almost hear the chants of the Camadoli monks of Astapiana when the sound of...

This is an otherworldly place perched very high in the hills above Sorrento with fabulous views across to Naples, Sorrento, Capri as well as a sliver of the Amalfi coast. This is an extremely unique place to stay-beautiful old monastery buildings set in the middle of a working farm. We stayed in the main building in a room full of...
