This has been my third time visiting the ladies of Villa Giusso. The hostesses offer accommodations in the villa and monks quarters, we have stayed in both, I prefer the villa as it has unique character, charm and a fabulous history. The hostesses are gracious, hospitable and kind. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, showers have plenty of hot...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were treated so well by the warm and friendly staff and the food was really magnificent and excellent value. A charming and magical place with the most breathtaking views over the entire Bay of Naples. We're definitely going back.

This was a last minute reservation to try something "different". It exceeded all our dreams! The hosts who own/manage the property are so kind and thoughtful (even if there was a huge language barrier!), It was the most authentic travel experience we have ever had. The only hesitancy was already noted in other reviews.....the car ride there. If you have...

Four of us spent 4 wonderful days at Villa Giusso. It had everything: friendly and charming hosts, atmosphere galore, wonderful setting offering spectacular views accross Sorento and the Naples Bay, peace and quiet - and easy access to the tourist spots we wanted to visit. It was, admittedly, a challenge to get there up extremely narrow roads. Next time we...

Our family stayed 2 nights at the former monastery in early June. When we arrived Vesuvius was hidden in low clouds but a few hours later it appeared in all its glory. Our 9 year old grandson loved the view and the grounds. In fact, it was his favorite place to stay the entire trip because he could hike to...

We like old properties with character: bags of it here! The table in the hall has histories and family trees, and we found our gracious hostess, Giulia, descended from one of the noble families of Naples. We spoke French as she had no English and we had no Italian, but we politely managed a problem with payment - be prepared...

We stayed at this beautiful place recently for 4 nights. The setting is amazing & the views just breathtaking. If you want the peace & quiet of the countryside and access to fantastic trekking/hiking this is the place for you. It is not far from Sorrento but the drive from the main road is very tortuous and more than a...

An off the beaten path, quiet and peaceful paradise on a hill top overlooking the bay of Naples. The lovingly restored main building is a large converted 15th century monastery. Go for a walk in the olive grove. Also have Giovana, your gracious hotess, give you a tour of Villa Guisti. We ate our dinner meals in all three nights...

We stayed one week at Villa Giusso and loved it! You must have a car and heed the advice on the Villa Giusso website when it says do not follow instructions on GPS! The GPS takes the shortest route to your destination and we ended up in an extremely narrow road that was 1.8 meters 'wide'. The recommended route is...

We stayed for a few days, first with a couple of friends, then one more night after returning from a week-long trip to Puglia. The trip up the mountain is adventurous but absolutely manageable with excellent directions - the reward is the most beautiful view over the Bay of Naples, the Vesuvius and Ischia from the terrace. From the Belvedere,...
