:Framed by the splendid hilly landscape of Volterra and her ‘Balze’ (crags), and situated in the sunny Tuscan countryside, is the holiday farm Santa Vittoria. Here we offer relaxing and timeless farm holidays, in eight harmoniously restored apartments equipped with every convenience to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The agritourism facilities consist of two independent farmhouses – Riparbella and Collevicchi – located on two main, but separate, hills from which one can enjoy unforgettable views. The estate is open all year round, given the attractive and different shades of the colours of nature during the varied Autumn and Winter months, for hunting enthusiasts and lovers of traditional Tuscan cooking. In fact Mamma Maria captivates guests with her typically homemade and strictly Tuscan cuisine for which she uses many of our own locally-grown products.Once back in your apartment you can enjoy the intimate, cosy atmosphere created by a real log fire or admire the star-studded heavens all around you. The geographically-central position of Santa Vittoria allows one to quickly reach the main Art cities of Tuscany such as: Volterra; San Gimignano; Monteriggioni; Siena; Firenze; Luca; Pisa; the coastline between Bolgheri and Populonia; and the Chianti area as well as interesting but less noteworthy towns and villages which we can recommend. In addition Santa Vittoria organises painting and cookery courses (on request), sampling/tasting of our own home-grown produce and Pick Your Own produce from our vegetable gardens. Lastly, it is also possible to fish in a nearby lake, to discover hidden woodland paths on horseback or just visit our own estate where we rear pheasant, pigeon and wild boar. Thanks to our continuous presence on the property, we are always on hand to give you a warm and friendly welcome, and to offer assistance and advice.
I have been in this place with a group of friends. We found exactly what we were looking for to make our sunday day trip special!!! This place is an ancient building up on the top of a hill. Well designed and with an incredible view. Staff is very professional and nice and happy to help you to make the right choice. We had a full classic italian lunch. Starters: backed pecorino with radicchio and almond and fegatini with mashed fennel. Pastas: ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach with a butter sauce with walnuts and white truffle, pici with a rabbit white ragù and paccheri with a fagiano white ragù. Main courses: stewed capriolo with fried cubed polenta and fagiano breast with baked baby carrots. Desserts: homemade crostatas and chocolate cake with walnuts. We paid a fair price for an incredible lunch!!! Grazie mille...we will definetly come back…
This must be the view of a lifetime. The view from the restaurant is simply stunning! The food was extraordinary and the service in the restaurant and from Luigi was nothing but world class. The apartment was very nice and even though it was July and hot the fact that here were no air condition in the apartment it was not a problem. The pool was very good too!
We were staying in the nearby houses and firstly came here for dinner, liked it so much came back for lunch. The location is fantastic, the views are to die for, sitting high on top of a hill with 360 degree views it couldn't be better. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and the limited menu absolutely no problem. The wine is first class, so what more could one wish for.
The owners (Luigi the husband and Katiuscia the wife) are honest operators who will proudly give you the best experience for the stay, the food, the wine and their artworks. The apartment is finely decorated with the multi-talented Katiuscia's paintings who is also a sommelier and she runs her restaurant in the farm as good as a fine dining restaurant). A top class experience.
Our friends dined here a year before and gave us the tip to visit. So we reserved a table and had a perfect diner. Too bad we came a bit too late in the year because the views are beautiful from the terrace, but it was too cold to serve dinner there.
