We went for my wife's 50th and invited friends from Germany, Switzerland and the UK. It was supposed to be 38 but the UK folk could not travel so 21. We had set menus either 25 or 30 euros and the food was very good and lots of it, The menus included 250 ml per person. The pool is very nice with amazing views. They make there own cheese and sell very local wine. Accommodation is basic but good value. Staff are lovely and very helpful. All our friends loved the place.
Our hotel in Mazzolla recommended that we try a tasting here, about 25 minutes to the other side of Volterra. It was well worth the drive . The friendly staff made the experience so lovely. They enjoyed sharing their knowledge of the cheeses and mix plates. We would absolutely recommend this experience
Fattoria Lischeto serves great food for a reasonable fare. They produce all kinds of milk-based products. The swimming pool is nice and the rooms are clean. That's about it about the positive things to say. You stay at a working farm,so you don't expect the greatest of luxury. But if you would like to spend your hard earned money on holidays and you would actually like to sleep at night? Would you like to have electricity in your room? Running water? Stay elsewhere! The period we stayed at the Fattoria was a very warm one, neighbooring 40 degrees celsius.Be warned:the rooms are not air conditionned and you are merely provided with a few fans to cool of.Needless to say that the buildings don't cool down enough at night to have decent sleeping temperatures. Now comes the "good part": if you dare to complain to the owner (sitting of course in an air conditionned office) about temperatures, lacking electricity and water, she doesn't react at all nor propose any remedy. All you get is excuses about the difficult terrain, the cost of installations etc Also keep in mind that the Fattoria caters to buses,so you may be asked in the rudest of ways to immediately move you car in order to let the buses through. In my opinion, they should focus on food and leave the overnight business to people that actually know what customer service means.…
The restaurant is located at the top of a hill overlooking magnificent lush green rolling hills. The authentic fresh organic Tuscan fare was served by friendly local staff. Although we were on a bus tour, we observed the establishment has many guest rooms and if you wanted a peaceful relaxing stay, what a place. Nearly too good to be true.
Stayed here for a few days, me and my sister love this place. The area is really beautiful and it just gives off this relaxing vibe. The room is pretty comfortable, most of the time tidy and well-kept, and the food here is delicious. The staff was really nice and friendly, it only adds to the feeling of familiarity that comes from this place. My sister appreciated the animals, in particular (And me too, honestly)
