Hotel is conveniently located to explore Volterra. Free parking. Rooms are clean but very basic (quite dated, small and tired). No toiletries provided and small towels. Don't bother with the "half board" option, food is very average, much nicer restaurants in Volterra. Great views and big pool area. This hotel is fine for a night but I wouldn't recommend it... Stayed here for two nights with a Risk Steves Tour. Our room and bath were both spacious. Only downside was the bath tub with a hand held shower. Not the easiest way to shower. Great if you are interested in a tub bath. The grounds were gorgeous and the pool very clean. The staff was very accommodating and would get... More

We stayed in this hotel with the Rick Steves tour. This hotel was very spacious by Italian standards. The room was very large, we had a king size bed, two bunk buds, and a futon. We probably were placed in a family room, but it was just my husband and I, nonetheless we were grateful for the extra space. Everything... More

A family run hotel in a superb location just outside Volterra's medieval walls. It's an authentic place; the staff almost treat you as part of the family, the food is good and Tuscan and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy. We've been here several times; in spring, in summer for big medieval festival and also at New Year for their big... More

Loved everything about this hotel. The location is just perfect in the beautiful Tuscan coountryside. Our room was large and suited our family of four perfectly. Surprised and pleased to have a fridge. The pool was fantastic and just steps from our room. Breakfast was superb and loved the ambiance. Would just love to be able to go back soon!

Volterra is the ultimate Tuscan town and Hotel Villa Nencini is the perfect place from which to experience it. The service, ambience and food are all excellent. Sabina and Silvano are wonderful hosts. As a tour guide, I have been in countless hotels around the world and few are as satisfying and relaxing as the Villa Nencini.

We loved this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer, as it was in a perfect location for visiting beautiful Volterra. The room was spacious with shutters on the windows, that framed the views beautifully. The bedroom was slightly dated, but clean and comfortable, good size, bathroom adequate, hot water, nice towels. Private secure parking for the motorbike. We... More

The address was not on GPS so we entered 13 instead of 15 and it took us to the correct drive. At the split of Borgo Santo Stefano stay left and descend. Parking is along left side of building.
