I purposely have not read the other reviews on this site yet as I want this to give an honest account of how we found this hotel. We stayed here for a week to visit friends living in the area. The hotel is billed as 4 star, I would say it is 2.5 at best. The owner(s) are much in evidence...

We stayed at this hotel for just 4 nights and were amazed at the view from our 1st floor room which overlooked the swimming pools. It was a surprise though to find that access into Volterra was either by way of a very steep climb or by using the local bus service. However this service stops after around 7.30pm so you have...

The hotel is in general ok, but the rooms are old-fashioned!!! The bathroom is even more terrible! (very old and therefore not clean!) When they should update the room + bathroom the hotel should be ok. But how the rooms are looking at the moment, it's no longer from this time... The sleep quality is also not great... a lot...

We got back last week from a four day stay, having had a hectic few days in Florence. We had a wonderful experience: the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was lovely - everything worked, good air con. Breakfast was superior to other hotels we have tried. We ate there twice, a la carte and hotel menu, and both...

The hotel has large rooms and bathrooms which a very clean and well appointed. The views from most of the rooms and from the terrace and swimming pool are fantastic. The hotel is situated outside of Volterra, a lovely hilltop town, and the walk into town for meals is to considered by only the extremely fit. There is s bus...

Clean, modern, spacious, well-appointed hotel, nice terrace with infinity pool looking for miles over beautiful countryside. Volterra is a must-see place, but anyone with a mobility problem should be aware that the hotel is 10-15 minutes below the Etruscan town gate (another review says 5 minutes - for an Olympic athlete maybe - it's a *steep* walk, albeit safe and...

The most Spectacular View you can imagine. Very beautiful location outside the gates of Volterra known as the oldest continuously inhabited city in Italy. (older than Rome in this way) Very nice rooms and huge bathroom with whirlpool. Very relaxing. Number one on our trip though europe.

Nice hotel that overlooks the hills, they provide a great service. From teh hotel you can walk to the main doors of the town in 5 min.. The restaurants in Volterra are great, we had sea food during our stay. The room at the hotel are good and comfortable one plus side the swimming pool, although it was already to...

Good: Cheap and value for money. Big and spacious room and bathroom. Good shower. Bad: Thin walls, can hear people in the hallway.
