The lodge is a great base for local bird-watching, with Andrew and Carole being very knowledgeable hosts. They offer guided walks for a fee, which are well worth it. The buildings might lack 'kerb appeal' but that is not the point. The spacious rooms provide all that you need including a kitchenette (there is no food offer at the Lodge)....

Hotel is average, but very clean. Owners are great, and know all the birds and birding spots. We had breakfast included. Very good, typical English fare. And plenty of it. And almost guarenteed to see platypus in nearby stream.

Saw them in full breeding plumage - and other super endemic and migrants. What more needs to be said! Simple clean and welcoming accommodation. Knowledgeable, friendly and energetic hosts.A delightful property to explore and enjoy. Well done to the relatively new owners/hosts, for putting thought and effort into upgrading the premises and providing clean and quite spacious studio lodgings with...

Kingfisher Park is one of the best places for birdwatching in the area, visited by amateurs and by professional wildlife photographers alike. A friendly if (self-admittedly) somewhat eccentric welcome on arrival from Andrew who breaks off what he’s saying to identify the call of every passing bird outside, and then resumes his explanation of how the place works and what...

There are 3 distinct types of accommodation here, camping, bunkhouse and lodges. The lodges are large, well equipped with a kitchenette area, good sized bathroom. Free wifi, better in some lodges than others but what can beat sitting outside watching the wildlife! Laundry facilities are charged but you do your own, so no disasters! This is defintely a place for...

We stayed in one of the bunk houses which are fairly basic but adequate (you don't comet this lodge for the accommodation but for the birds). There are two beds, some pans/eating utensils and linen and towels are provided. There are no shower or toilet in the bunkhouses. The bunkhouses are 90 aud per night for two people and they...

Its been my dream for years to get here and our 3 day stay was heaven. Andrews morning walk with 50 birds was unforgetable-a beautiful oasis type property-bird lovers only. I wish Carol had been free for a day guided trip-next time

This accommodation caters for camping, and basic bunkhouses, through to self- contained units. Mum and I stayed 4 nights in a 2 bed (double and single) self-contained unit. It was basic but very clean and sufficient for our needs. No TV, no phone reception and no internet (you can pay a small fee for wifi) so if you want to...

We stayed for 5 nights, during unseasonal rainy weather, but still saw plenty of birds! It truly is all about the birds. We had a comfortable spacious and very clean 2 bedroom cabin, which gave us a private verandah, from which we could enjoy the many species of birds. We also really benefitted from our walks with Carole an expert...

Heaps of room in our 2 bedroom cabin. Carol & Andrew provided heaps of birding tips and were keen to attend to any needs we might have had. Really relaxing, peaceful place. They are working hard to keep ahead of some ageing buildings! Expect to see many binoculars and big cameras
