Outdated buildings, some of the roofs leak, but the rooms are clean. Breakfast is OK (though not great), but don't bother with any of the other meals - they have no idea what they're doing. Also, when we visited in the rainy season, the whole island was deserted. One small store and one restaurant were open - besides the hotel...

We arrived to Ko Kho Khao late at 6 pm with no hotel bookings, we rented a motor bike in one of the shops of the pier (on the island side - 200 THB/day). Then we took the main road to find a hotel we visited 2 hotels and were closed due to low season, then we found Tacola resort,...

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and it was already a bit shabby then, it hasn't gotten any better. It could be absolute paradise if they would only renovate the place, especially pool area and bathrooms! However the rooms are generally clean, the sheets are lovely and the breakfast is decent. The beach by the hotel is fantastic,...

A real disappointment, ha a massive pool, really needs a re-furb, the beach is awesome but neither pool nor beach has any service, none so if you would like a drink, no chance. Rooms where really great, nice and big, the deluxe lake view is not deluxe, the lake stinks and is not a great view. Rooms where clean and...

When we were here 2 years ago we thought we'd found the perfect place. Kho Khao Island is wonderful remote, not touristy at all yet with all the good features of a nice thai holiday (endless beach, tropical scenery, nice restaurants at the pier, nice people and unspoilt nature). This time everyhing was still there yet the hotel was a...

We came to The Tacola looking for a week of relaxing and bathing, which it's ideally located for. It's got a great strip of beach facing the beautiful Andaman sea in the west (you'll catch some lovely sunsets if the weather allows for it!). We were looking for an area that didn't feel like a tourist ghetto, and while Kho...

Although it´s quite new it lacks in maintance. Definitly not a four star hotel but quite ok 3 star. Friendly but rather inexperienced staff. Good location, 10 minutes walk from the pier with shops and restaurants. Nice beach. To get around the island you need a motorbike. Good way of exploring unspoilt beaches with virtually no people at all .Actually...

Tacola Resort is located on secluded Ko Kho Khao Island, getting there is not hard but still has some adventure feeling to it. From Phuket or Khao Lak take a Taxi to Ban Nam Khem (take a left from Route 4 about 5 km south of Takua Pa) Pier. There, load your luggage on one of the taxi boats (20...

Staying at the Tacola Resort and Spa was a very nice experience. It is located in Koh Kho Khao (or Kho Khao Island)around 150 km North of Phukets airport, reached by car/bus and then boat or ferry. The boat/ferry trip takes only 5-8 minutes and then from the pier of the island 3 minutes by car or 15 min walk to...
