The Cove Eleuthera draws praise for its impeccable cleanliness and luxurious amenities, with travelers frequently applauding the pristine rooms and well-kept grounds. While the ocean views from the comfortable rooms captivate many, concerns about value and mustiness are noted, alongside occasional service inconsistencies. The hotel's prime location is a highlight, considered by guests to be unparalleled in enhancing their stay, despite some calls for maintenance of beach amenities and remarks on the high cost of services and dining.

I was expecting a luxurious stay, I was disappointed. Upon arrival we were not greeted with drinks or food. We had travel delays and missed our first night’s stay- the resort did not offer any compensation- not even a free drink. We were exceptionally bothered by the restaurant manager who refused to serve our 17 year old daughter a pina coloda. Not only did he card her at our family dinner, he returned to our table the next morning and called us liars for ordering her a pina coloda. Honestly, we are paying 2 thousand dollars a night- I expect tact and discretion from the staff. He also tried to turn us away from dinner, claiming he didn’t have a reservation for us. We certainly did have reservations, but he made us feel embarrassed and he stuffed us into a very small crowed table. This is not the service I paid for. I will say the rooms are lovely and the majority of the staff is helpful and friendly. The food is good but overpriced.

The staff is great. Scenery incredible. Food was good. Sushi use to be incredible and is still great just not as incredible. Rooms need to be 'freshened' and baths redone. Things are starting to look 'aged.' We still enjoyed it!

You will not regret staying at The Cove. The rooms and views are beautiful - even the beds are comfortable. The restaurant is really great - we ate almost every meal during our week stay. The other restaurants listed on the website were not open during our stay. The majority of the staff and guest services/concierge are just amazing, friendly people. All eager to help and make suggestions. We are literally plotting our next visit after being back for 24 hours.

This is one of the most lovely spots on Eleuthera. Everything was pristine and well kept. The views were breathtaking and we sat on a bench at the edge of cliff nightly to watch the sun set. But what makes this different are the people...Big O Angie Miss J WOW and thank you

This is a nice place for a weekend but it is NOT a luxury resort. It is equivalent to a $300 / night hotel in the US. Staff are very friendly but the actual service is quite slow and mediocre. Setting is beautiful but grounds / buildings are just okay. Clean and relaxing, but be aware that the amenities and overall experience are not what you would expect for the hefty price tag.

We stayed over NYE week with extended family in a three bedroom villa. Had a lovely stay at this stunning property. Very quiet and tranquil. Service consistency can be improved, but overall relaxing stay. The pros The property is amazingly situated with two coves and beaches, immaculate grounds and amazing views. The sunsets from our front porch were unbelievable. There are also hammocks across the property. Overall a quiet resort, even when at capacity never felt busy or noisy. Concierge and front desk staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. Nicole, Ty, Melina and Sheena were wonderful as was Big O. Eleuthera is a quiet island, less developed. If you looking for bustling night life and casinos, this is NOT the place. Better to go to Nassau. People are friendly but prices are high as they need to import everything. Meaning you will easily pay $50 for a simple lunch plate. The cons While property is lovely, service is inconsistent at times. Especially in the restaurant. Service level can be improved such as basic things like bringing cream with the coffee rather than 10 minutes later. Service timeliness can also be improved. Several things in our villa was broken, like a bathroom door and phone. And even though staff was attentive, they would come hours later to look at it. Same with other requests like laundry and room service, just having a higher urgency in response time rather than having to chase them would leave us with a better experience. Restaurant recommendations: Front Porch - great spot run by Francis. Great location right on the bay with amazing fresh food and cocktails. Daddy Joe’s - both for lunch and dinner. A local spot with live music many nights and family run and friendly. Had the shrimp curry and it was super yummy Other experiences we highly recommend is to take a day trip to Harbour Island. Also a boat excursion to see pig island and the amazing swings on the sandbar - our kids LOVED it!

In January'24, my husband, another couple, and I spent six days at the Cove in Eleuthera. We each stayed in bungalows overlooking the beach, and the sound of the gentle waves lapping at the shoreline was the most relaxed sound you could imagine. The Cove is an oasis in the middle of Eleuthera; it's laid-back luxury. They have a fabulous restaurant and bar, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Because Eleuthera is an unspoiled island, you won't find wild nightlife and gambling, but that is not the reason you want to visit -it's finding peace, tranquility, and total relaxation. The hotel offers several amenities, and Turtle watching in the morning is one of them. While we were there, the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) designated the Seahorse National Park at Hatchet Bay Cave and Sweetings Pond on Eleuthera. Visitation with a guide is allowed. One more note: We hired Wallis, who was recommended by the concierge, to drive us around Eleuthera. He was informative and helped us with restaurants outside The Cove and with the ferries that took us to Harbor Island and Spanish Cay. Would we return to The Cove? In a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at The Cove! This place is beautiful and peaceful! It's a bit cold in Dec/Jan but the water is warm enough to swim and no crowds! There were times when we had the beach all to ourselves. The staff were lovely and the restaurant/bar were great. It felt safe to let the older kids roam and hang out with their cousins unaccompanied. NYE celebration was so very memorable! We will be returning in the future!

Excellent property. What makes this place a cut above the rest is the extremely friendly staff. Everyone says hello and happy to help with any request. The grounds are kept very clean and the whole resort was magical. Any request is just a text or email away and someone always answers quickly. Unfortunately it was raining two days while we were there but the room was still amazing. Dining was of good quality. My only recommendation is that the staff become a bit more knowledgable on the menu because when it gets busy they have to walk away to ask someone for the answer. I would highly recommend the airport transfer service as it is very efficient and helpful when you are running behind. The Range Rover is a nice touch. The property is pretty centrally located to many directions. Recommend renting a car to get around the island and seeing some private beaches. We will definitely be returning. John and other staff treated us with the upmost care.

The island is really beautiful, but compared to other places I’ve been, it definitely does not match what they charge. The hotel needs serious repairs, and the service is very poor. The gym has an awful view laterally to some bad filthy area with abandoned cars. Since arrival, there is a mirror abandoned on the floor. On the second day, I let them know there was no water at the gym. They asked if I’m sure, like if I’m really bothering them by let them know. The space in front of the gym is so dirty. Try smelling the cups in the room. It smells like dirty laundry. I found out after I took a sip of water. I hope I don’t get sick. Upon arrival, they ask you when would you like to have your room clean daily. Not sure why since they don’t follow it. I asked for mornings. My husband and I came from a tour today at 1pm. I called asking if anyone would at least pick up the dishes from last night’s room service. Again, it felt like I was bothering them. “I’ll send someone.” 2 hours has passed and nothing. The bathroom is very small with no bath, the double sink is also small with no space or storage. On our first day here, I called reception to ask about the “Thursdays happy hour”. I was informed it starts at 6pm. When we arrived at the bar, I commented that I expected more people to come in, but the bartender said there was a lot of people but we were late. “It started at 5 so you can watch the sunset from here.” They are so misinformed. My husband asked for a cappuccino this morning. It was cold. They brought another one just to say it’s not hot because “I think the machine is broken”. When cleaning tables, the cleaning products flies over the other table on people and their food. So careless. Not sure why they automatically charge 18% gratuity when their services are awful, and their staff not friendly (with a very few exceptions, such as Demetrius. He is excellent). Definitely not worth what is charged to stay here. If you want a nice luxurious destination, I would not recommend The Cove Eleuthera.
